I suggest another point of this debate: AJ will lose on purpose to not fight Fury. I remember Wilder suggested the same shyte in December 2023 but it ended in Wilder losing instead, LOL.

Or: AJ will take a tune up, decide he ain't got it no more and will retire before facing Fury.

It's not a case of AJ offered to fight Fury when he was contracted to fight Wilder
The negotiations started with all parties with the belief the road was clear
AJ signed a contract and before Fury was able to, Wilder's team legally challenged Fury’s right to do so

So AJ never offered to fight Fury "knowing" it was not gonna happen

Hearn continued working on the deal with the previous Saudi investors and at one point believed he would be able to announce the fight within hours

Arum who is a lawyer continued to tell everyone it was a case they had no chance of losing but oddly made no effort to help put the deal together, same with Warren

Hearn was that desperate to be the one that made the deal, that he got blindsided by them

 

Ok, I'll concede there. But in that case Fury also showed intent on making the fight happen, and by your own admission believed he was cleared to do so.

Yep, but something was off with how Warren and Arum refused to do anything to make the deal

It's like they had a feeling it wasn't going to work out so not worth the effort but if it does and Hearn puts it together, lovely quids in for minimum effort
