I still can't get over the Loma Haney robbery and I never will

I didn’t watch the fight live but I woke up the next morning and heard all of the screams of a robbery and a decided to score it myself as fair as I possibly could. My assessment was that Lomachenko gave up way too many of the early rounds, dominated the later rounds while Haney took the 12th.

I’ll rewatch it to see if Loma might’ve took a round or two of the first 6 which is possible but there is no way that he won more than that. It could’ve been a draw and the best that he could have done was 115-113 which in my opinion would have been the wrong decision but I wouldn’t have been in tears about it like his fans are because he came up short. There have been legit robberies that fans should really be angry about. Close fights like these aren’t robberies.

 

Ha. I wish. I’m actually not even a fan of his. Never was. I believe that he was hyped for no reason. Loma showed that he is the more skilled boxer by the way that he outclassed and dominated him in the rounds that he won as compared to the rounds that Haney won. However the decision was fair.

Well, it’s funny you say that because over on BoxRec, fans gave Loma 2 the first 6 rounds.

Not to mention there were - LITERALLY - moments where Laurence Cole held Lomas glove while Salido punched. LITERALLY. MORE THAN ONCE.

 

anyone using Loma’s second loss against him either didn’t watch the fight with Salido or just simply didn’t care about the rules being broken repeatedly for 12 rounds

 

Ukrainians are a smaller minority than the blacks in the US, so not quite, haha.

 

This decsision will go down in history like Hagler/Leonard type of controversy.

25-30 years from now both sides will still be arguing.
