    Dominican Republic’s OG fighter..

involved in fight of the decade

Fought James Toney and Roy Jones Jr.

Very interesting back story. He’s not able to remember things but that’s okay.

He can't remember things as in short term memory or long term, like his fights?

Awkward style due to knock knees. Fought on ESPN a lot. Stepped up to Roy Jones and got stopped but a fun fight while it lasted.

That’s crazy that you got to train with him. Merqui Sosa was an exciting contender back then who was involved in a ton of great fights and fought a bunch of HOFers like RJJ, Toney, Nunn.

His fight with Prince Charles Williams was insane.

Him not remembering things has me concerned. Hopefully he’s not in bad health. He was in a lot of punishing fights.

it’s not bad per se, it’s part of the process. He’s able to help others and train up and coming fighters.

    Interesting.

    Sosai s trining in Vegas?

James Toney always claimed Sosa hit him the hardest in his career and that s including the HW run.

Involved in a lot of fun fights. Not surprised to hear he's got some memory issues, plenty of old boxers do. Sad, but glad to hear he's going ok.

@DobyZhee you watched any of Sosa’s fights? Gotta check out his fights with Williams. Brutal slugfests.

Not surprised he couldn't remember things.............he's been in some wars

Merqui and Prince Charles Williams had perhaps one of the wildest fights in history. I'm certain the only fight that was ever stopped because the ringside doc said neither could continue.
