We have no evidence that Harry Greb was that good.

Yes! Finally! This is the crux of the matter. We have common ground! We both agree this is the primary source of our differing perspectives on the matter, albeit, of course, technically, you mean you would trust your interpretation of the recording (which was Sal's original point).

A more precise & carefully worded statement would have been:

"I trust my interpretation of the recording 100-years after the event in an era of styles & rules I'm very unfamiliar with, having watched no fights live & seen scant, poor quality footage only, more than I trust the interpretation of thousands (combined) of judges, reporters and other boxers who were ringside and obviously lived through the era
    ."

I do not, and I agree, therein lies the source of our differing perspectives on this matter.

Full fights or the vast majority of the fight.

Around 20 of the top of my head and in the definition of "vast majority" which is somewhat subjective.

Ok thanks. By vast majority I mean like 80% + of the fight.

Then you have to reduce that number.
Some of them, like the full spliced version of the Bobby Dykes fight have been lost in the sense they were on youtube but not anymore.

Ok. Just looking on youtube without trying much I found like 6-7 full fights.

It's a shame there isn't more anyway. For Greb I get it but SRR is much later in time.

Out of interest, how many were during SRR's prime, which for arguments sake we'll say was pre Turpin, aged 30 after 132 bouts? I.e during his prime 129-1-2 run.

How many were bouts contested at WW, which is the division in which he ranks the highest? I'm under the impression they answer to this 2nd question is zero, but could be wrong.

I d say his prime was set during his retirement from 1952 and post it.
I know some experts have, could and can break down why he was already slowing down by the timne of the Maxim fight and you could make that case but for arguments sake and having a sure fire answer pre and post retirement comeback are obvious answers.

Obviously Maxim,Graziano,Olson 2,Dykes,Turpin 1 and 2,Stock,Lamotta 6,Hecht are some ofthe full or almost full fights of him in his prime.

I found Lamotta 6 and Bobo Olson from his prime run. None at Welter I believe.

Furthermore to your question there was a very grainy but 35 minute plus version online of Robinson vs Fusari from august 1950,his last welter title defense.
