I always loved how Arum blamed Crawford for not being a household name even though Arum was LITERALLY the PROMOTER. His job was to PROMOTE yet all of his marquee fighters did much better for themselves AFTER they left Arum...DLH, Floyd, Bud. Whats that tell you about Arum and his "promotions?"

Top Rank can build you up as a prospect but once you hit main stage it s up to you to become a star.

Pacquaio's one of the modern GOATs from the lower weights. Crawford is being salty on this one. He should have been fighting at super featherweight or lightweight at the max during the end of his career but he went up to 147 daring to be great.

Crawford should have been this vocal before he retired. He might have wound up in some decent fights off the back of it. I like Crawford but he’s really banking on the canelo fight to legitimise his own legacy. I think that win will age badly a few years down the line once a new group of boxing fans are eyeing over his resume without the bias that Crawford benefits from today from his own fans.

In terms of legacy, quality of opposition, size as in one being a massive weight bully, very often the much bigger or bigger man, never much smaller, and the other not being a massive weight bully, very often being the much smaller man, home advantage and having the deck stacked in your favour or not stacked in your favour, the amount of punchers fought it's patently clear who is by far the most legit and whose path was way waaay tougher.

Nah. GBP made Canelo a STAR. PBC made Wilder and Spence and Thurman a STAR. Tom Loeffler (promoter) made GGG a STAR. Eddie Hearn (promoter) made AJ a STAR. Eddie Hearn made Katie Taylor a STAR.

Promoters absolutely CAN make STARS. How TR **** the bed with Crawford and Loma and needed a generational talent in Mannny to succeed in "promoting."

Arum builds fighters, they just box and run in their last fights promoted under him or. See Shakur Stevensen and Bud Crawford’s last fights promoted under the TR banner.

Nah, they went to different promotions that didn’t want to work with each other..

Pacquiao doesn’t care either way. He personally didn’t avoid Crawford.

it’s just Crawford chasing cash cow #2

Crawford has always been resentful that old Pacquiao didn't fight him and he couldn't feast on his corpse for name recognition. Plus, there's another pattern here that is hard to ignore concerning how some fighters tend to view their asian contemporaries.

Pacquaio was finished 14 years ago. Marquez did the boxing world a favour.
