It sounds like your argument is that Vitali would look terrible against Young while winning widely.

 

Norton looked good against fighters with less than tipping point power - Ali and Holmes - I thought Young beat him but much of the same style. Still Norton only beat Ali once out of 3 and lost to Holmes.

Shavers KO1 and Foreman ko in 2 highlighted Nortons weakness = he could not back up, and he folded when hit with tipping point power - lesser fighters like Jose Garcia exposed it when he was younger and when he aged a bit, fighters like Scott LeDoux dropped him 2X and then Cooney KO 1- Ledoux was not a puncher but he backed Ken up- Ken was old but could only fight going forward.

Vitali was dominating Chris Byrd until injury, and he was ahead vs Lennox until cut stoppage. Vitali gained confidence after Lennox and ko'd highly acclaimed Kirk Johnson in 2 - I favored him in a rematch with Lennox, and I guess so did Lennox because he turned down some very large money.

Vitali went on to beat some very good fighters - the best available that his brother didn't beat but still overall quite an impressive career.

Yeah I had it only 5-4 to Vitali up and until the stoppage when I scored it a few years ago.

Alot of people seem to push that narrative when it's not true.

It was a nip and tuck tactical fight in which neither man was hurt.

Competitive fight IMO.

I know punchstats are not always accurate but the stats also suggest it was competitive aswell only 8 punches separated the 2 fighters.
