Given the news on Liv Golf this week I suspect you're right tbh.

 

This Inoue v Nakatani card is an odd one. Their tune up fights at Christmas got the full Ring Magazine/DAZN Ultimate/PPV bells and whistles to build up to them fighting each other.

And now they’re actually fighting, I’d not clocked it was happening until a couple of weeks ago when DAZN picked the rights up late, and it’s a bog standard Japanese Teiken show with just Adam Smith and Barry Jones doing some off-tube commentary from over here.

Was Nakatani that bad last fight that Turki lost interest?

 

Agreed, DAZN coverage is half-hearted, only starting live coverage for the final three bouts.

So glad it's happening in Tokyo though instead of Riyadh. Love the weirdness of Japanese boxing cards, like the applause for the referee announcement.

At least the Japanese one is short and they only need to play it once for the main event.

Bucket list stuff to visit Tokyo, drive a real life Mario Kart round the streets and watch an Inoue fight.

 

It's a brilliant place. Locals hate the Mario Karts though.

 

If Natatani had come out the way he’s finishing, I honestly think he could’ve taken this. Feels like he gave too much away early and only really settled once it was already slipping.

With Inoue, I don’t know, still top class obviously, but he doesn’t look quite as untouchable now. Feels like he’s there to be beaten if someone gets it right on the night.

Be interesting to see what’s next - if he gets through this, wonder if Bam is the one they go for, but not sure if he is big enough though. That’s a proper fight if it happens.

I saw Hearn talking like this as if Bam's been this unbeatable monster who could always have taken Inoue. I hate when fighters get older and that's just disregarded as a reason they might lose eventually; a few years ago he was untouchable just like GGG was before Canelo eventually decided to fight him.

 

The DAZN app is that bad on my tele I’ve had to put it on the stick. Awful as per from DAZN.
