While Oleksandr Usyk is wasting his time fighting a kickboxer, Inoue remains active takes on a top 10 P4P undefeated fighter in his prime.

Nakatani is younger, taller and has a longer reach, yet Inoue wins again!

Let's give credit where it is due: Inoue is the best boxer on the planet and an ATG.

He's been CLEARLY number 1 the past 6 years, with Usyk in the mix ( I cant argue with folks with Usyk)

But Crawford and Canelo Bivol has absolutely 0 arguments

    Beaten a top 10 P4P fighter convincingly.

More active fighting 2 or 3 times a year.

World champion in 4 weight classes.

    Undisputed in 2 weightclases.

28-0 with 23 knockouts in world title fights.

23 knockouts is a record in world title fights aswell.

    Opinions ?

Both are great fighters with a fair claim to the P4P throne.

I still say Usyk now, but I expect Inoue to take over convincingly once Usyk retires soon enough.

I don’t know if this is the disappointment of Usyk fighting a kickboxer talking, but I competely agree.

Will definetly revisit the subject if Usyk fights Wardley or Kabayel next though.

I love Inoue and he again showed what a champion he is tonight but let's not get carried away, Usyk takes one easy fight, so what? There's not too many T.J.Doherty's or Paul Butler's on Usyks record. Inoue is no.2 p4p.

For me its a toss up between Usyk and Inoue,so now I have to go with Inoue after Usyk went the cross over fight route, which honestly like many others I never saw coming !

Inoue has fought THREE TIMES against top opponents while Usyk has been sitting on his hands for a year.

Usyk should have fought the kickboxer in December and should be facing Kabayel in May.

Well, no one else is fighting a top quality opponent at the moment. Usyk is fighting who, crawford is retired, canelo is washed, bivol is fighting who, benavidez may beat zurdo but its not p4p 1 worthy

I had him at number 1 after he beat Picasso last year. Usyk's win over Dubois was impressive but he already did it and that was his only fight last year. The last unique opponent he beat was Fury in 2024 and since then he's had two rematches and is scheduled to fight a kickboxer next. In that time Inoue has cleaned out 122, beaten 6 unique opponents including a former champion and a top 10 P4P opponent. After todays fight I really don't know how Inoue *couldn't* be P4P 1.
