Tua had a Two inch reach advantage not three. I know what Rocky’s walk around weight was. Tua did not train down he used weights and PEDs most likely as everyone does.
tua had a two inch reach advantage. Rocky’s walk around weight was 210-220. He wouldn’t be training down today he would be bulking up with weight lifting and PEDs. I can’t make you understand the differences between workouts of the 50s and today but understand putting on functional weight is not a skill nor hard to do. Rocky was a HW who knocked out other HWs. A 6”3 man is champion who beat a 6”9 man who was skilled who out weighed him buy a lot. Don’t over emphasize weight at HW it’s not a benefit

If weight isn't beneficial why did
    Ellis
    Byrd
    Holyfield
    Moorer
    Usyk
    M Spinks
    All add weight?
That 6 ft 3 in man weighed 226lbs and had ten inches of reach on Marciano. He is also a far better boxer than Marciano, much more mobile ,and faster.

Can you imagine Marciano in there with Fury?
    25 of Marciano's opponents were under 190lbs.
    17 of them under 185lbs.
9 of them 180lbs or under.

    Tua's reach is 70 inches.

    Marciano's reach is 67 inches.

    So it's 3 inches.

Where are you getting 220 pounds from ? Marciano is not suddenly putting on 40 pounds of mass and he magically looks like Tua.

Tua was a naturally built, stocky, big boned, guy.

You do realise just because 2 guys are the same height they are not necessarily the same build right ?

Usyk is 6'3, 220+ pounds, 78 inch reach, he's a highly skilled Southpaw with great footwork.

Usyk is more comparable with Ali's attributes not at all comparable to Marciano.

Marciano would have crushed Fury. Fury’s to fat and for some reason only Usyk figured this out just keep busy and he will tire. Secondly weight is only good if it’s functional. Otherwise it’s a detriment. Fighters lost weight because of this then. You know this. I more meant it as it’s not a skill. Anyone can gain functional mass Rocky was not maxed out in this area as you know his walk around weight

Marciano would have crushed Fury. Secondly why
takes five seconds to research Marciano’s reach was 68. You don’t know what you’re talking about. You also apparently don’t know what walk around weight is either.

It makes you realize, inch for inch, how much more proven Chagaev is than someone like Marciano.

I've seen his reach listed at 67 inches and 68 inches it don't really make much of a difference.

Its still the shortest reach of any Heavyweight champion and a major hindrance against elite Super Heavyweights.

Walking around weight is not necessarily the same as fighting weight.

Hatton's walking around weight was 180 pounds was he competing as a Light Heavyweight ?

As for me not knowing what I'm talking about ?

You're the same guy believing Marciano crushes Fury, Wladimir, and is next to even money against Lewis.

That in itself shows you cannot judge things logically or without bias when it involves a fighter you're a fan of.

I know he wasn't a quick fighter and extra weight would only make him slower, adding pounds to Marciano would adversely affect his stamina ,he traded on his conditioning ,reduce that and you reduce his effectiveness.
Fury would rag doll ,and if Wilder could not keep Fury down, Marciano has no chance of doing so.
Don't kid yourself, although Fury isn't a dynamite puncher getting hit by a man 60/70pounds heavier than you is going to register on your body ,big time. Its not like an 188lbs Moore hitting you, or 194lbs Walcott, this is a guy with an 85 in reach who will be jabbing your head off while you are still well out of hitting range, and when you manage to get close he will claim you, waltz you around like a child, when he isn't bearing all his weight down on you. Getting to his chin with those tiny arms is going to be a real problem! This would be like Basilio taking on Ali , and with the same result.

This emphasis on walk around weight makes no sense to me when Rocky never fought at it. Surely his cardio and workrate would take a decent hit.

Also, Fury washes him. Yes, even current Fury.

I’ve taught and sparred with men who were 270 plus and the hardest I was hit was by a man 185. Was another man 235 who had heavy hands but it was more thudding. When you actually spar with these people you see how negligible it is. Fury was almost knocked out by Usyk. Knocked down by other fighters and hurt much smaller. Marciano would have to train for 12 rounds not 15 and everyone knows PEDs and weight lifting when done right don’t hurt your speed or stamina. If anything he would prob be more explosive.

Gotten two fights wrong predicting in 20 years and one was Bivins v Beterbiev 1 which was a bad decision.

    secondly
never said Lewis and Marciano was even money or that he would demolish Wlad. I said depending on the rules allowed would determine who wins that one. He destroys Fury because of many reasons

Usyk is 226lbs that's 40 more than Rocky and its muscle.

Fury had been knocked down by
    Cunnigham 6'3" 210lbs
    Pajkic 6'3" 232lbs
    Wilder 6'7" 212 and 238lbs

    Nobody has kept him down.
Marciano was knocked down by 41 years old 188lbs Moore and 38 years old ,196lbs Walcott.

A 6 ft 3 in, 200lbs plus man is big enough for anyone,if he is good enough.imo .
    A slow cut prone 5 ft 10 1 /2in 185lbs man is not imo.

I think Fury is overrated by his fans, but yes, any version of Fury likely beats Rocky.

Moore was 38 and also holds the most KOs against quality opposition ever. Not the dis you think it is. And again I don’t understand what’s hard to get. Weight doesn’t mean punch harder past a certain point. That point is probably around 180 pounds. Do you think Beterbiev doesn’t hit as hard as Usyk or harder? You’d be wrong. Far too much emphasis on the weight. It’s good to have functional mass to make it harder to push around and to do the pushing around. Fury’s weight is his biggest problem not a benefit.

I've never got a fight wrong in 20 years either I can claim that aswell because it's the internet.

What rules ? It's a boxing match which would be no different in either era ? unless you mean 15 rounds ?

But still no rules are going to allow a fighter of Marciano's style or attributes to beat ATG Super Heavyweights like Lewis and Wladimir.
