Naoya Inoue vs. Junto Nakatani & Takuma Inoue vs. Kazuto Ioka + Jin Sasaki vs. Sora Tanaka RBR.

I had it 7-5 Inoue, though I'd go a round wider than a round closer. Fight caught fire in the second half which is fine, since I'm down for Kings Road main events from time to time. A rematch is welcome, and given the cut Nakatani sustained due to the accidental headbutt, warranted. As stated earlier in the thread, I'm of the minority opinion that there are still guys to face at or around 122lbs as opposted to him going directly up to 126.

But he still got through Gallo Edwards Cuadras and Sor

 

He clearly has the skills but none of his wins have aged well, his matchmaker deserves a lot of credit for navigating these fights at the right time and getting the big names on his record while reducing the risk. He's capable of beating the best out there, disappointed to see him picking Antonio Vargas for his next fight (who I think is the worst of the top contenders at 118 and arguably lost against Daigo Higa + coming off of a long layoff). He's capable of beating any of the champs at 118 and is just frustrating to watch if he doesn't end up fighting Inoue in his career given that he's not as undersized in that matchup as people make him out to be. He's had plenty of time to move up to 118 (could have done so last year) and then acclimate himself to 122 instead of doing the Pumita and Cafu fights.

 

Who on juntos resumes is better

 

Was very impressed by his win over Nishida (and looking back to the early stages of his career, beating Akui and Yabuki is very impressive given what they've done with their careers since)

 

Bum is not beating Nak or Inoue

 

What would be a top 5 list of the most over hyped boxers (and recipients of irrational hatred) at the moment?

 

All the fights of this card was a true war the only exception is the fight of Kazuto Ioka vs Takuma Inoue, where Ioka only won a round...

 

Nakatani apparently pulled up with a Orbital floor fracture. Waiting on confirmed reports.

This would explain the squinting and drop off in the final two rounds.

Originally had that down to the cut leaking blood into the eye but an Orbital fracture would make more sense.

It was Saturday night so the Prowler was out and about and didn’t watch it live I just watched it this morning excellent fight and another quality performance from Inoue. Gotta love this guy he consistently fights the best available competition.

 

Yes I'm totally agree to be honest I know before the fight that the Chinese DeKang Wang is pretty good he beat by stoppage both Giuliano Fantone & Herlan Gomez...

And now we know that Yoshiki Takei is a bit overrated. His first-round victory over Yuttapong Tongdee and his win over Jason Moloney proved nothing. Jason Moloney was too passive during seven rounds almost ; in fact, Jason Moloney was dominating the fight at the end specially during the last three rounds and was about to stop him. As for Yuttapong Tongdee, he was caught off guard because he wasn't expecting the acceleration at the beggin of the fight. I'm pretty sure if there is a rematch the Thai will survive until the decision.


Now is it a good idea that Yoshiki Takei moved up at 122 lbs, I'm not sure at all...
