Spence didn't shake Tim's hand. Walked straight by him. First thought was very rude but Tim's getting a dose of his own medicine the way he's treated Nikita.

 

Spence seems like he is mentally challenged

If I were Spence I'd come to Oz 3 weeks before the fight at least. Jet lag and time difference etc. Velasquez that moron arrived in Australia on the Friday before the fight.

 

Will be good to see Bungeye out here. He gets credit from me for being the first A-level Big Doodle to ever set foot in the same boxing ring as a Tszyu. Something the likes of Oscar, Sugar Shane & Floyd never did. Jeff is going to need to do a really good job with Tim's preparation if he's to get the win. Bungeye wouldn't be coming out here if he didn't really fancy his chances. I know they have spoken about using the likes of Andrew Hunt & Huss Hamdan for sparring but a guy I reckon they should be using is Paulo Aokuso. He's got really good fundamentals & as a Light Heavy, would match or exceed Errol Spence for physical strength. Finding out the guy you're fighting is much stronger than the blokes you've been sparring with in preparation is too late. Aokuso also has very good hand speed & a high skill level. I think Tim's old team messed up the sparring for a few fights, including the Beanstalk rematch where they should have tried to obtain the services of Conor Wallace. While being a southpaw, I think Aokuso's style more closely resembles Spence than Wallace does. As I've said a few times on here, fights at the pointy end of the sport can be won & lost on who the sparring partners are. Seeking out blokes who can do the job & are on Tim's doorstep (well, Brisbane in the case of Aokuso & Hunt) makes sense to me.

 

What weight is Hamdan? I thought he was around 60kgs? He looks tiny.

 

You're right, he's a bit too small. I mentioned him b/c Jeff did. I don't think there's any harm in using him to do some rounds. He's an orthodox fighter so he won't necessarily be a frontline guy in terms of mimicking Spence's style. The other two mentioned & whoever else they bring in would need to do the hardcore rounds.

 

Mora and Mannix giving a lot of props to Teremoana. Spent a good 5 minutes talking him up. I started listening to their Podcast in the car again.

 

Yeah he's too small. He'd get crucified.

 

A Good man will never beat a Monster. He's too nice. Maybe if his name was Sammy Badman he might have a chance.

 

Seriously I'd love that fight down at The Gong though. Wollongong is a beautiful place.
