One of the fights I wanted the most was DB vs Beterbiev, monster vs monster, but that fight is too expired now. Beterbiev is too old and I dont want to see his name being used as a prop to feed DB now as if the name holds the same significants.

So that leaves Bivol. Hopefully they can make that happen.

Not sure DB should stay at cruiser. Whats the point if he can make 175 fine. Its asking for an unnecessary loss against guys he shouldn't be fighting.

He was lucky that tonight he was facing an ordinary (relative to world level) fighter suited for him. When he fights a genuine talent that is also bigger then him, it could be a different story.

He should just try to rule 175, imo.

To answer the second part, I can't stand Benavidez and I'm sickened that he won. Did I think Zurdo won the rounds I gave him? They were far more competitive than the commentators were giving them credit for, but by no means am I going to go out on a limb to argue Zurdo won them. Yes, I can occasionally be a dick with my scoring.

Look, there's always a possibility that there's a miscalculation on the part of the handlers when orchestrating these facades. Especially when moving up in weight almost 25 pounds. But it was quite obvious to everyone, including myself, that Zurdo was the lowest hanging fruit at CW and ripe for the picking. He's garbage and has been for quite some time. There's a reason why he's been ducking Opetaia for a year. Also, CW since Briedis retired and Gassiev and Usyk moved up to HW, is in absolute shambles. So while all of the idiotic casuals lap this horse**** up, it's all a carefully planned deception. To hoodwink them into thinking Benavidez is an actual monster.

Jai is a whole different proposition to Zurdo: Speed, elite skills, athleticism, good footwork, adaptability, punch variety, nasty one punch KO power, good counter puncher, timing, heart, chin, toughness

Benavidez just stopped the #2 guy in the division and he took him out in style I see no reason why that one shouldn't happen next. If Benavidez beats him it's huge and it's a great fight. Jai deserves a shot at those belts but he's being frozen out and ducked, including obviously by Zurdo, and Benavidez knows exactly how that feels himself.

Same man, but it just wouldn't happen. Instead he would just be getting used, and people would act like DB conquered a prime Beterbiev in there.

You brain is so pickled from all of the alcohol you've been sousing it with, you're just repeating yourself now. I'm almost catatonic from lack of sleep, and still far more creative with my responses than you are, and they're some of my weakest to date.

Can this even happen now with Jai being signed to Zuffa? He was stripped by IBF for that reason, I dont think the WBA and WBO would allow it if he remains under that umbrella. Great fight tho.

How is Zuffa going to make this fight? Benavidez is with PBC.

I did notice that Bena didn't mention Opetaia, claiming Zurdo was number 1 (maybe that's feasible with Jai going to Zuffa), though to be fair to Bena he always said he was coming back down to 175 after the Ramirez fight (a bit like Alvarez after Kov)
