Inoue vs Rodriguez is possible for February

Would rather see the Nakatani rematch than Bam. Bam is far too small, and when Inoue goes through him in about 3 rounds, everyone will start calling him a weight bully. It's not a good look. Either Nakatani or 126. Bam hasn't actually done anything to deserve a shot at all the marbles at 122 anyway.

 

Few more years? You really think that Inoue will still be fighting at 35 or 36? There was a time when little guys were considered past their best once they hit 30. Maybe the nutrition an training is better now an can prolong careers but can you think of many elite little guys in recent times under 126 that were still great fighters in their mid 30s?

 

Can't wait for Inoue to wreck this hype job.

Anyway, I can just see Inoue being the type who keeps pushing with his career until he has an undeniable loss or two once he starts properly slowing down. That's what I was implying when saying Bam should wait.

 

Thats 8 months from now. I’m curious if Inoue will take the rest of the year off to rest and then focus on his training preparation for Bam later. If there’s anyone that deserves a bit of a break it’s Inoue who has been literally the only fighter to be so active.

 

The speed will be the biggest shock to Bam. Followed by the power difference from guys he has faced.

 

When was the last time anyone at 122 got thirty million? Or anywhere near it?

 

I want Inoue to win but honestly his last couple performances haven’t been that convincing. Idt he destroys bam if he wins it would be good competitive fight. Inoue who fought Fulton dog walks Bam.

It’ll be wild while it lasts. Bam would never fight like Nakatani did that first half. It’ll be balls out, the whole fight.

and he’ll probably get ironed out, have his career and image derailed. Hope he’s getting 8 figures for it. This isn’t Crawford catching Canelo on a very clear downslide. Inoue just looked freaking great. Shockingly fast and explosive.

 

You, good sir, are a warrior, because a fight with Mothra would NOT be a walk in the park. You’d really have to put the hard work in the gym before that fight.

 

Bam needs to beat someone like Takuma Inoue at bantam, or Hernandez or Nakatani at super bantam, to really let an Inoue fight sell. He's excellent technically, but the size difference is going to be too much. Too early, really. Junto beats Bam. The Nakatani vs Inoue fight was perfectly marinated, but this one is premature, especially if it happens in 6 months.

 

naah, i want to see it while inoue is still whole. bam is my current favorite fighter, but theres no shame in losing to monster. i want to see them matched as close to even as possible. if that means bam gets the short end of the stick because he isnt done developing, so be it. i have no doubt he will make a good account of himself.

 

I think even a diminished Inoue would simply punch through Bam. Power is the last thing to go after all. Probably looks somewhat similar to the Picasso fight stylistically.
