they dont even try and apply some logic or boxing knowledge to their hating, to at least make it seem like they understand some boxing. its just the first thing that pops into their head to hate on a fighter. i couldnt believe some idiots actually had zurdo winning at the time he got crushed. and they expected others to buy their bullcrap, lol. its like dealing with a bunch of kids most of the time.

 

Zurdo is a solid ass opponent don’t get me wrong but he’s not special like David is. I was also surprised people picked him, David just seemed superior in every way. I also think David is stronger at cruiser and would put a beat down on Opetaia as well. Those bigger dudes can’t handle his speed and tenacity.

 

guys that big are not fast enough to react to his handspeed in between their own punches. he baits you with his shell to throw, then counters you with multiple punches you are too slow to react to. they have a chance to catch him if they initiate a novement first, but arent fast enough to react to his movements once they commit. he is a freak at these weights.
he is also hitting harder now because he can afford to put full leverage into his shots against these slower fighters. that fraction of a second that it takes to put your entire body into a shot would get him countered against smaller faster fighters, but these big guys just cant react that fast. he can still be timed, but his years of experience against top level fighters in matches and sparring has taught him when it's safe to load em up like that, so it's hard to outthink him. you cant teach that, that only comes with experience in your own body and own natural ability. opetaia just does't have that yet, nor can he be taught that.
