Very interested to hear what was promised to him when he signed-was he to pursue the undisputed and felt that Dana white was the man to do that rather than Eddie, hard to imagine? Or did he buy into the whole zuffa “league” early with a nice payday? If the latter is the case why the whinging over the IBF?

Even if zuffa sign the rest of the top 10 cruiserweights does that give more access to fights for him that weren’t available before? Probably not?
Is there even a really big marketable fight for any one of them out there?

He needs better dance partners is my conclusion and to be a bit more proactive, he’s probably a high risk low ish reward for most of those below him at present?

Jai despite being an absolute savage in the ring, appears to also have the IQ of a savage

Personally I get the feeling Mick Francis was so tired of not getting a return on his investment, he convinced Jai to take the Zuffa deal, when most people could see that his goal of fighting for undisputed was not on line with Zuffa's goals, Infact quite the opposite.
Despite that he thought it would happen and seems to still think it will oddly

However at least he is making acceptable money now because the paying public otherwise were not interested

He's good, but he's got about as much brains as Daniel Dubois

Classy fighter but he's quite lucky to come along when he did in Cruiserweight history. CW was absolutely stacked and super competitive in the 2010s and in the very begining of the 2020s. Jai would've picked up a loss in that era imo.

Also the decision to fight with Zuffa is dumbfounding. Probably would've gotten more benefit fighting for Misfits

I would imagine financially it's a good one and let's be honest in this sport that really is the most important thing

But he does seems to want a legacy and going with a start up that is looking to disrupt the current landscape is an odd way of achieving one

Good fighter and hard puncher who showed a lot of heart in the Briedis fight. I think he beats everyone at cruiserweight and is kind of wasting his time staying in the division. Hopefully a Benavidez fight can be made

That said, I am not too keen on his heavyweight run or at least not as keen on it as some posters on here. I don't think he is a bad fighter but I think he has had it kind of easy since winning the belt. He also fought very cautious in the Briedis rematch and took some punishment late in the fight. He gets a little careless with his defense at times too. I don't think he will be as effective moving up to heavyweight but I'd be happy to be proven wrong because heavyweight can use some new blood
