Moore's other performances in and around the Charles fights indicate he was prime. Charles was just better. Tyson was shot vs Lewis, as evidenced by the footage. You are likely the only poster on this forum who doesn't understand that.
It's not a dead cert, but I'd be very tempted to bet on a stoppage win for Frazier. Everyone who faced a peak Frazier had to fight. Outmaneuvering him was not an option. Charles was tough enough to defend his ground with upper body and head movement. He was also very naturally inclined towards disrupting his opponents' assaults by tying them up, as well as using great punch placement to keep them alert. But Frazier's pressure was just so unforgiving that I can't imagine Charles resisting Joe's efforts to wear him down and beat him before 15 completed rounds.
Frazier with a 20 lb pull over Marciano hit as hard or harder and was quicker longer taller and that combination would be much more overwhelming then what Rocky was able to throw at Charles.
He was smaller and slower than Louis. He’s the same height as Marciano. Marciano throws strong in both hands and had a better defense. I’m certainly of the mind that Charles could be knocked out and I’d make him a slight underdog here but to think he’s cannon fodder is flat out wrong. He would certainly make it a fight in prime.
Well that’s what makes horse racing we can agree to disagree. What I would say is to watch them alongside each other the you ll see more clearly that Frazier was faster. An inch taller 6 inches more reach much tougher skin and 20 pounds heavier in their primes. Frazier would have eaten old smaller guys like Moore Charles and Walcott for lunch. He was a quick perpetual motion machine and a buzz saw offensively.
