Will Daniel Dubois quit after Fabio Wardley lands a few hard punches?

In the fight this coming Saturday, do you think Daniel Dubois will quit after Fabio Wardley lands a few hard punches?

Or do you think Dubois will either last the distance, or KO Wardley?

 

My bet is on Wardley, but I don't see it as a quick win.

 

I think a smart Wardley drags Dubios into deep waters and drowns him, especially if Dubios tries going headfirst.

 

DDD is a Glass Jawed Fighter. Anything can happen.

 

First 2 rounds will tell us everything. If both are able to land then 50/50. If Dubois is not able to land, he Will fold

 

I don't think Dubois quit vs Joyce (just like I don't assume Zurdo quit vs Benavidez), but he did quit in the first fight vs Usyk. Whether Dubois quit in the 2nd Usyk fight is debatable.

Wardley's got so much momentum and power you'd probably have to bet on him as a favorite. I also thought his defense, head movement and jab were improved against Parker.

If Wardley puts the pressure on Dubois early, the fight could be over within a few rounds.

 

Depends on how well he's been doing. Dubois can hang in and take punishment when he's still in the fight, see him against Hrgovic and Miller. But when he's struggling to have success or taking too much damage without being able to return fire, that's when he mentally crumbles. I doubt we'll see him fold against Wardley as easily as he did against Usyk, not unless he gets put down heavily multiple times. That's assuming he doesn't just walk through Wardley.

 

Folks need to remember there is an actual gulf between wardley and Usyk. I’m not even sure wardley has the accuracy of joe Joyce’s jab. We will see on Saturday

 

I think its a 50/50 fight.

Both are good and proven fighters. What makes me suspect Dubois could win this, is that Wardley is a slow starter and he hasn't fought a big puncher in his career - whereas Dubois is a fast starter and has fought big punchers on top of being a massive puncher himself.

 

Why do you people say silly stuff like this that obviously ain't true?

Diglett has only ever been stopped by a broken orbital bone and Oleksandr Usyk. He has taken boat loads of punishment at times in his career and walked through it all just fine.

It's beyond obvious Diglett's problems come when he can't stick to his game plan and find success. If he can land his jab he can land his offense. If he can land his offense, he won't quit. If he can't land his jab then he can't land his offense. If he can't land his offense he has no ability to adapt in the ring and so he wilts. It's as simple as that.

Wardley has absolutely zero ability to stop Diglett's jab and therefore stop Diglett's offense. Wardley is the most hittable guy in the division sans Makhmudov. So to beat Diglett he's going to have to spark him out cold. Something literally no one has ever done. Doesn't mean he can't do it, but this idea he's just gonna whop Diglett on the chin once and the fight will be over is silly nonsense.

 

I largely agree, but it's just that Wardley hits so HARD. And Wardley (imo) did look sharper in every department vs Parker.

Either way, I'm REALLY looking forward to this fight. This will probably be the FOTY.

 

Does Wardley hit that hard? Not saying he doesn't hit hard, but like extra special hard? I dunno.

The fight definitely should be a banger, though!

 

It depends which Dubois turns up tbh, but after his last performance and the criticism he got I think he will be right up for this fight with Wardley. We all know Dubois has power but he does not like it when things are not going his way,on the other Wardley will just hang in there and weather it till he gets the win,I’ve been looking forward to this fight since it was announced tbh

Yes. I'm quite sure he will.

Dubois is no prime Muhammad Ali as far as defensive skills go.
