Then you say Fury benevidez and people realize how much of a mismatch even though Fury is way more worn than Usyk but still murders this hyped up bum. What because Usyk is a former cruiser and aging heavy means it's interesting? Not at all. Usyk was a big cruiserweight and the best cruiserweight of all time ahead of holy field. Benevidez ain't got a patch on him.

I don't want to hear about benevidez anymore this must be a mexican fighter thing. Same happend with the ginger midget canelo. Obscene hype and nonsense.

To be fair there isn’t a boxer in the same position that wouldn’t want it. Nothing to lose and a 30 million payday. Hell I’d be clamoring for the fight too.

 

The weird thing is when fans ask about that pointless fight.

And benavidez has just managed to beat zurdo in impressive fashion - and STILL the hype has overgrown it by a LOT.

All this stuff is casual talk. Having a good chance against opetaia is casual talk. And going to heavy to even try against dubois is casual talk.

But then again those casuals mostly look for physical appearance. So they wouldn't put benavidez in front of dubois. But against usyk who has knocked dubois out twice they would give benavidez a chance...

 

On further thinking, i should actually be glad about it. Casual hype for an actual boxer (and benavidez is even a good one that takes on challenges and has an interesting aggressive style) instead of the likes of jake paul or old tyson is quite a good thing for the sport. It's just a bit weird to encounter it here instead of social media.

Roy Jones Jr. was one of the greatest boxers to ever live. For sure the most athletically gifted guy to ever put on a pair of gloves. Roy is 5'11. Benevidez isn't even 6'1. Roy moved up to HW to take on one of the weakest champs ever in John Ruiz. Didn't knock him out. Didn't 120-108 blank him. Just out-boxed him to a solid UD. Then he immediately said F this and went back down.

But pops wants Benny to move up to HW, when he's already a bit flabby at 200, and take on one of the greatest fighters to ever lace up a pair of gloves? A dude who cleaned out the whole amateur/Olympic scene. Who then ran through the best cruiserweight era ever like **** through a goose. Who fought everybody in their backyard and spanked 'em. Then moved up to fight giants at HW and beat them all up, too. THAT guy is who you want your flat footed son to fight? All because he styled on Zurdo Ramirez? Zurdo? For real? He didn't even smoke a P4Per or nothin? Just Zurdo? And that makes him ready for Usyk? Do you want your son to die?

 

Let Benavidez fight Kabayel. If he can beat him, then put him in with Usyk.

 

Great performance but he's jumping the gun a bit here.
