He didnt say Young hit harder than Marciano ,,and I don't see where he implied it?

The work rate agreed, several opponents of Rocky said they were hit harder by other men.
    Moore
    Lastarza
    Charles
    Cockell
To name four, but they said he consistently hit hard .

And Walcott said he hit harder than Louis, who knocked out plenty of bigs.

Yes Louis did, but Marciano did not. Louis was a great single puncher and a great fast ,and accurate combination puncher .

Marciano never faced a prime, modern sized heavyweight of any class, and very few heavyweight punchers. He was an attrition fighter ,he kept coming until he wore you down.

    I don't think so personally.

A swarmer is always going to be very problematic for a defensive first boxer. Who doesn't have the power to stop the forward momentum of the swarmer.

Marciano is simply going to outwork Young who doesn't have the firepower to stop the swarming Marciano from coming forward.

I don't think there is enough of a weight difference and Young isn't a big puncher. To overcome the significant stylistic advantage that Marciano presents.

Yeah that's what I mean. I believe Moore said Curtis Shepherd hit harder in a single punch than Marciano, which may be true. But being hit consistently with hard punches can wear you down in a way that getting hit with single very hard punches can't.

Lastarza went 10 and 11 rounds with Rocky ,and he wasn't as good as Young.

Ossie Ocasio outpointed Young twice close to his prime.

He isn't anywhere near as good as Marciano.

Young got outhustled twice in those fights he couldn't deal with an awkward smaller opponent.

I think that's quite relevant to a match up between Marciano.
