    WBO flyweight titleholder Anthony Olascuaga will defend his belt vs Mexico’s Andy Dominguez in the main event of the iV Boxing outdoor fight card at San Francisco Civic Center being promoted by Sampson Lewkowicz. With the full support of San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie, Pereira has said he’s attempting to set the attendance record in the US for boxing. In 1941, an audience of 132,135 supported the Tony Zale-Billy Pryor fight in Milwaukee.

    Heres a mad stat for you. Haney defended his world title against Prograis in San Francisco last year but before that you have to go back to 1992 when John David Jackson defended his world title against Pat Lawlor for the last time a world title fight was held there. Crazy

    Some pretty wild takes have been bandied about over the last few weeks; this can definitely be added to the pile. Aiming for 130,000 people at this fight isn't quite as ridiculous as Eddie Hearn saying him against Dana White is "one of the biggest fights in boxing" - but it's still a pretty crazy target. He'd be lucky to get 10% of what he's aiming for, especially for this card. I honestly don't know who most of these are.
