Wardley vs Dubois - Preview/Prediction Video

Does self belief help if you get hit by a fight ending punch? Given they are two heavy hitters, self belief does come into play if they fence around for a bit and one is getting the better of the other, but if any of them is able to land the money punch, then the mind can will all it wants but the body probably says sorry ain’t doing this no more! Anyways just as most here, I’m really looking forward to it - hope it doesn’t disappoint

 

Give me Dubois by stoppage. Wardley hadn't been hit like he will be hit tomorrow

Couldn't agree more. While this match is a terrific match-up in terms of action and pure power, and will be extremely exciting while it lasts, it's an awful match-up when it comes to heart. I can actually see this not lasting long, I think they will both come out like men possessed, which will be incredible, but once they both taste each other's power, I think Dubois quits pretty early, unfortunately. I want Wardley to win, but I would like to see Dubois prove me wrong in terms of heart, can't see it though.

 

I said before that he is very tough.
I think Wardley has a good chin.

 

Really looking forward to this one.

I think Dubois could make this easier for himself by working the jab, keeping Wardley at bay, resetting him with 1/2s every now and again and being disciplined and not getting into exchanges / trading.

But, Wardley has real DOG in him and hardly ever seems to get disheartened - and he WILL drag Dubois off his gameplan and into a war; now that doesn't mean Wardley will win - DDD still has the power to spark Wardley if he connects right. But it gives him a much better chance.

I like Wardley for late stoppage as well, where the heart is important, but I think Dubois lack of discipline, head movement and ring IQ will be the real deciding factor

 

I think DDD is coming in heavy as he knows Wardley is easy to hit and is looking for the knockout, can see Wardley moving more than usual but he'll end up getting drawn into a slugfest.

I see it as Rocky 3 but Clubber catches him in the 3rd

 

I think coming in heavy is a mistake. Wardley will exploit the toll it will take on Dubios's gas tank and mobility.

Staying at range and outboxing Wardley is the obvious path to victory here, but Dubios will try to blast him out instead and walk into a brutal shot like Huni did.

I'm officially off the fence on this one, and I'm now going for Dubois, despite being vocally critical of his limitations, I just feel Wardley is being too overrated now. He's also carrying an air of confidence that he can simply walk through Dubois, and he has zero heart.

It's definitely not his strong point, but I think Wardley, judging on interviews, is thinking this is going to be a breeze because of his grit, but it's the first time he has faced anyone who hits as hard as Dubois. Whereas Dubois has faced Joshua and Usyk, both of whom carry the power Wardley does.

Joe Parker's weakness is his power; taking shots from him doesn't necessarily equate to an iron chin, whereas Dubois has lights-out power, and I think Dubois is going to put Wardley's lights out in the same way he put Joshua's lights out. He will not have to go looking for Wardley, and I can see Wardley being flatlined, maybe after a strong start.

 

if we get the DDD from the miller fighter with that grit i don't see wardley taking them punches for too long the guy got stunned plenty against soft hitting parker ffs

 

I wouldn’t exactly say 260lb Parker who knocked out 300lb Bakole, albeit on a days notice, is soft hitting

 

exactly fat out of shape bakole who was there just for the pay day, parker couldnt even hurt 200lbs cruiserweight jack massey or junior fa that got kod by bum browne and another soft hitter in sanchez

 

Parker was around 240lb in those fights, he was 260+ against Bakole and Wardley, to call him soft hitting is crazy. All heavyweights can punch.

Interesting wardley’s cardio isn’t all that though, remember how he was swinging at the end of Parker fight? But I can see your point around Dubois being too heavy might hurt him later on. I imagine he’s coming for a quick one
