That wasn't a British stoppage at all. Merrell was unconscious on the ropes.

All Bri 'ish matchup next, though Cameron doesn't look very Bri'ish to me.

Yeah, as everyone knows I normally hate it when they stop fights when a guy's still standing, but here it was justified

....are people genuinely questioning the stoppage?

Morrell was hurt very badly. Yea his mind was probably not there but he refused to go down. Call it out on feet if you want. I saw a boxer that refuse to go down. Ref stepped in to save him from the knock out cold stoppage.

Good stoppage, sure you could've given Morrell 3/4 more seconds but what for. He'd have just been absolutely slumped on his face.

His hands are down his head is to the side his eyes had been closed for a good 5 seconds and his head is flopping around. That is not hurt very badly. That is sleeping

I heard Frampton mention Lloyd Honeygan. Well Morrell definitely reminded me of Donald Curry. Just looked a bit full of it, like he just had to show up.

A British stoppage is when a guy is blocking all the punches or they’re missing and the ref stops in. Morrell was hit clean 2, 3 times he couldn’t defend himself anymore

Text book what a stoppage should be but you will always get someone who thinks they know better

Morrell’s only shot at the end was making the final bell without getting knocked unconscious through the ropes. He was done.

I imagine you thought Griffith-Paret was a quick stoppage too, right?

The ref actually did a really good job.
