Seems like Chelli's been around forever but he's only 28! Great win for him.

 

A few on the General RBR are calling this a "British Stoppage" Absolutely crazy! His arms are dangling by his knees, he's hunched over staring at the canvas. He was in no way able to defend himself, not a controversial stoppage in any way.

 

Made up for the lad but I feel if it was the other way round it would have been stopped in the 9th after that right hand

 

Also just a bit on the commentators. They were jumping ahead of themselves saying Chelli should just start throwing for his life. Chelli did the right thing, waited for another solid head punch to hurt Morrell again and THEN jump on him. He’d have simply punched himself out and allowed Morrell to hold and waste time if he just started throwing wildly. Smart boxer is Chelli.

 

Yeah that's ridiculous. He was clearly out on his feet. Even by the time the ref jumped in he was taking additional flush shots.

He was on oxygen slumped on his stool ffs

 

Morrell had never seen shots coming from those angles and couldn't gauge Chellie’s rhythm. He was simply used to fighting better boxers.

Unless God/Allah has been a sparring partner in camp there’s absolutely no reason for anyone to thank him after a victory.

Rea kind of put Whitaker into perspective a bit there. Guess it will be Rea v Chelli next, although feel Zak deserves a real pay-day after his performance.
