I've always thought Davison was a complete twat and that has only been cemented tonight.

 

I found it disgusting.
They should have pulled him out a lot earlier.
From the ref to the corner, wtf were they thinking?
That young man may have earned a few quid, but at what cost to him...

 

Wardley was probably my favourite fighter going into the fight.
He is definitely my favourite fighter after that

 

Davison is not the head trainer, he has no control over the towel

 

How Foster let that fight go on when Wardley could barley walk from his stool after 9. That was a very uncomfortable watch even if he did nearly knock Dubois head off with an uppercut 60 seconds earlier.

 

The fact there's a rematch clause and his corner never pulled him out is a disgrace.

 

Wardley still doesn't look right. He'll never be the same after tonight.

Fight went 2 rounds too long. Davison is a clown.

 

Agree, it was at least two rounds too many. His nose/eye/mouth was badly damaged and he was running on empty stumbling round the ring eating clean shots.

 

Everyone knows Dubois gives it a go when he can hit the opponent. He proved that when he got leathered by Hrgovic before giving him a leathering. You're awfully emotive. He gave up against Usyk the first time and gave up the second time. Just because it's Usyk doesn't expunge that fact. He gave up twice when he could continue. I don't count the Joyce one as his eye was knackered. He gave up but he did the right thing. I never said he showed no determination. I said that it's conditional, you absolute bellend.

 

Posted this before the fight. Surely there are serious serious general health implications to have that nose get busted open and shattered every fight? Wardley won’t have many fights left IMO. He’s seriously limited too. Made the most out of that 1-2 and a probably the best chin in boxing but it won’t last and his health must be at risk.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Ben Davidson might be able train a fighter offensively, drill in some nice combinations or counters, but when it comes to defence, he is horrific. his strategy is basically "swallow everything" Leigh Wood being a prime example

I was just saying the same to the mrs. His nose is an absolute mess and he’ll need the rest of the year off just for that, let alone any other damage. He barely made it down the stairs from the ring.

Wardley is a pretty good talker so it’ll be painfully obvious if there’s any decline in him after this. Credit to him though, there’s no quit in him.
