Usyk already made him quit. Beating him again proved, and achieved, absolutely nothing we didn't already know.

This is obviously and manifestly NOT true.

If that were true, how would we ever get to great trilogies like Ali-Frazier, Graziano-Zale, Leonard-Duran, etc?

There has to be a rematch to have a rubber.

You're right it is obvious but in the opposite direction. Almost no one on the forum would agree with you, with the only people who may feign agreement being hardcore Usyk haters.

What about Ali x2, Lewis x2 vs single wins over Quarry, Bugner, Morrison and Ruddock?

I'm not an Usyk hater. In fact, he's one of my favourite fighters. That doesn't mean I won't call him out for being inactive and not fighting other top contenders.

By Kiwis insane "logic", Lamotta proved just as much with his one win over Robinson as he would by going 6-0 against him lmao.

I disagree, and you already know my stance on immediate rematches. You should have to work your way back up for a shot.

By your insane logic Fury and Usyk could fight each other once a year for the next decade and be considered the greatest of all time.

You are "calling him out" for fighting 2x champs and hall of famers under b-side conditions lol

I'm calling him out for fabricating a unification bout against two guys he already beat, and passing up mandatories to fight a kickboxer for his next title defense.

It's not my fault he chooses to fight once a year.

Logic isn't your strong suit. If you beat a fighter again and again it can have diminishing returns, though barely at all if at all at 2-0, especially against top tier opponents. Even so, if Lamotta were 6-0 vs Robinson rather than 1-5, many would consider him way up the ATG list.

You're the one who used 6-0 as an example bud, I'm just pointing out how idiotic that is.

Against three different fighters in Usyk's case.

Duran proved just as much by beating Leonard once as he would by beating him three times. Ditto Frazier over Ali. And Ali effectively had two, or three, or infinity wins over Foreman. McCall and Rahman beating Lewis again would have meant nothing etc.

Glad to see you agree that defeating more opponents is meaningful then ;)

It's also worth noting that all of those aforementioned fighters fought more than once a year, and have a far greater number of contenders on their records than Usyk does.

You can "disagree," but you've just negated some of the great and beloved rivalries of the sport. In fact, all of them. Someone has to win the first one and there has to be a rematch for there to be a rivalry. It's just off the table.

Incorrect. We are talking about two-fight series. Usyk has done nothing more.
