Lol, Strickland is now undoubtedly a lock for UFC HOF. Another ridiculous upset under his belt.

Bad decision imo. Gave a dude the title getting pieced up while retreating all fight throwing jabs. but I can't complain too much. Bad fight iq by chimaev cost him the fight.

A Sean win is definitely a lot more satisfying, Khamzat’s fanbase and cockiness are insufferable.

I had either guy winning, Chimaev’ threw more meaningful shots but Sean had so much ****ing volume and on top of that defended every Chimaev takedown attempt after round 1.

Right decision, feel like chimaev might have hurt his foot in round 2? Went in his back for no reason and took the wraps off inbetween rounds.

Strickland loves an upset doesn’t he

Getting pieced up is a stretch imo, Sean rolled with Khamzat’s strikes very well and there was a huge gap in volume

That wasn't normal by Khamzat. Looked drained.

Honestly the only debatable round was 3 and Strickland outlanded him by a good 15 strikes. You can’t give Khamzat rounds for walking forward and getting punched

This was way more competitive than expected. Sean was seen to be a lamb going to the slaughter. I love a good upset.

    Would watch a rematch !

Also, both fighters cleaning up the toxic mess from the build up with pure class. I knew they were still gym buddies deep down.

Maybe a stretch. Idk will have to rewatch. But imo Chimaev was doing the better work for most of the time while pressing the action.

    This.
Strickland was backing up, but he also landed more and the cleaner punches. Chimev landed more kicks, but those had very little impact on them.

He was definitely throwing a more variety of shots but I also think we was being outworked by a long shot. Will also have to give it a rematch!
