I was dead tired and went to bed at the end of the 8th of the Morrell fight. The fights were dull and I simply could not keep my eyes open, even coffee did not save me.

I agree with your assessment but, in the end, it truly was a pick 'em fight right up to the very end. Wardley was totally gassed. Yes, he sustained a lot of damage but I believe it was more exhaustion with Wardley.

 

I had not heard the results in the Morrell fight. In fact, I didn't even know Morrell was fighting. What an upset! Just watched the highlights. Wow!

 

I'm a big fan of wardley purely cos his story is amazing but glad he lost the Parker stoppage still irks me to this day

It was more than two punches, but you are right that his incredibly granite chin and KO power saved him from his lack of boxing fundamentals. I hope his health is ok because that was a hellacious beating.

 

This DDD win must somewhat improve Usyk's resume. DDD has lost only 3 times, and the recent losses were against Usyk. He has a good record apart from those losses.

 

I'm glad to see that he looks lucid in that video. He stumbled to his corner at the end of the last few rounds.

 

Compare the Huni stoppage and tonight's fight. Shows the corruption in boxing. Give Huni a chance to at least fight on after "one single punch". Yet they stopped it. Worst thing that could have happened was him taking another punch and being laid out. Alternatively, he could have regained his senses and boxed to a decision.

Anyone doubting Daniels heart, Daniel answered them tonight.

Props to Daniel, so impressive, and his complete focus during fight week had paid off.

Yes, but being the only man Usyk has stopped at heavyweight, that carries a bit of shame with it. And it happened twice.

 

lol I think for all intents and purposes he also stopped someone else in round 9 of their first fight not long ago

 

Yet it somehow went to the cards, funny that.

Altho, now I remembered that Usyk did stop Witherspoon, but no one cares about that fight. Withersopoon took that fight on short notice and quit between the rounds due to being gassed, lol.
