There's so many names across so many divisions, I wouldn't even know where to start, so I'll leave it at that.

I see some Monzon calls and I remember a story of him with, and I may very well have the friends wrong but I think it may've been Locche and Galindez with him, walking down the street, being non-heavyweight kings, and a guy came up and put a gun on Monzon and demanded his wallet and Monzon opened his shirt a little more and told him to go ahead, like put one in his heart if he thinks it'll help, and the guy bolted and one of them was like well, what if he'd shot all three of us, and Monzon shrugged with a chuckle and said "Eh, then I would've been wrong." totally unbothered by the prospect. That's not someone you want to deal against.

I would say Duran used to just come across a bit of a psychopath (seems to have grown out of it) and they used to all know that LaMotta was such a fearsome, wicked menace to society that the Scorsese movie was being quite kind. Recently, there was always something about Crawford that makes me think he'd be the baddest man on the block, despite not being very big. There's something in the eyes. Going back, I've heard Barbados Joe Walcott at 5'1 was someone who made you stop believing in physics.

Or you could just name your top 5 for bantamweight and Featherweight as a flex!

A shout out to some not mentioned like Tony Zale, John Mugabi,
James "Hard Rock" Green , (Short man built like a Sherman tank) Frank "The "Animal" Fletcher ,
Mustafa Hamsho, (Who just looked like he'd enjoy inflicting pain on someone)
Mercel Cerdan, Dwight Qawi (Another boxer who seemed to actually enjoy hurting
his opponents , that sneer though.....)
And of course fighters like Duran and Hearns that have been mentioned.
Jake Lomatta Rocky Graziano, Greb and Walker looked they'd be
leg breakers for the Italian or Irish mob if they wasn't pro fighters.

I tried to make a list of possible contenders and give a detailed description on exactly why they were feared, but there are just to many names that could easily fit the bill. I don't wanna do anyone injustice by excluding them so I'm unfortunately gonna have to take a rain check.

For a fighter that was small at the weight in regards to height.

I always thought Qawi had a bit of a fear factor to him in his prime years when he was tearing through the division.

He had a menacing look to him and would often smile in the ring which was quite scary.

Bob Foster, one of the light heavyweights of his time said they all wanted the title, but no one wanted to fight Bob.
