Dubois beats present Fury?

I got Fury by decision or he possibly makes Dubois quit. Fury will frustrate Dubois make him miss a lot and will return the rough house tactics in the clinch. Fury will go in there with the plan to out box him unlike AJ, Hrgovic and Wardley who all thought they would go in there and blast him out.

 

Fury would also foul back if Dirty D got up to his usual antics. It could always go downhill at Furys age, but based on what he showed against Usyk he beats Dirty D if he's still able to come in with a similar form.

 

If Fury can get back into the form he was in for the Usyk fights, I think he can take Dubois. There’s no way Dubois is learning to time him that quickly/well like with Wardley and then being able to just tee off at will. In terms of boxing skill, Fury is leagues ahead of Wardley.

 

I was thinking that too. Go ahead and get dirty with Fury, see how that goes. Hint: not well.

 

You act like Fury needs an excuse to fight dirty. He doesn't. He was pulling out every trick in the book in the fights with Usyk. Using the ropes for leverage to throw punches, low blows, elbows, blatant back hands, collar ties, etc. Never got warned for any of it, either.

I think it would be hilarious to see Fury get a taste of his own medicine. Let him eat a few Diglett headbutts and see how he feels.

 

Fury isn't even in the same league as Dirty D in that regard lol.... Dirty D is one of the dirtiest fighters in the game currently.

 

No doubt Diglett is dirty as hell, but let's not sell Fury short here. This is the guy who forearm framed Cunningham and then blasted him on the ropes. The guy who has illegal strikes baked into his normal game plan. The guy who slaps dudes with his wrists and the open palm of his glove. The guy who drives his head into his opponent's in the clinch just like Diglett.

They're two peas of the same pod.

 

Cunningham KO was a bit dirty but he was also pretty much done lets be real. That cant be compared to Dubois headbutting over and over again among other things. Also the Wilder stuff is total nonsense. Dubois is in a different league in terms of fighting dirty.

 

Dubois can't get going if you out jab him. If Fury has half of his jab left, he wins.

In the old days probably a UD or late corner stoppage or jab KO.

The myth of Fury being dirty is laughable. He boxed people his whole career when he could have fought like Wlad. He only roughhoused in a couple of fights when his plan A (box and move) failed. Cunningham (KD) and Wallin (cut). And even then it was just barging around and a bit of wrestling, it wasn't butting people or elbows or low blows etc.

The only time I saw him actively foul was against Abel after Abel headbutted him and so he nutshotted him in response.

 

I can't take ya'll seriously. Like, do you guys not actually watch boxing? Do you just make stuff up in your own mind or do you actually watch and blank out everything that doesn't fit your preferred narrative?

Fury ain't dirty? He doesn't low blow or elbow people? He's not blatant? What reality are ya'll living in?

We all know refs are highly reluctant to take points off fighters. Especially A-side guys. And yet Fury has had points deducted:

Against Wlad for hitting behind the head

Against Cunningham for headbutting

Against Johnson for hitting on the break

Against McDermott for holding

I mean, I could do this all day. I suppose it doesn't matter how much evidence gets presented though. If you're completely divorced from reality and live in your own little warped bubble no amount of evidence is going to change your mind. Fury is one of the dirtiest fighters of the modern era. That's just a fact. Dubois is dirty, too. And yet to this day I've never seen him straight up use an MMA style elbow on an opponent.

 

Dubois is rightly ranked higher now due to recent wins. But I fancy Fury to win this matchup. He’s a better boxer than Dubois.

 

Dubois is now a 2x world champion, and after Usyk beat Fury comfortably twice, a pedestrian UD over Makhmudov is not enough to get a third shot at Usyk in my opinion. As someone else pointed out, he's beaten one top 10 guy in 4 years and nearly lost to a cage fighter. Nobody wants to see Dubois-Usyk 3, or Fury-Usyk 3, it seems, but if Dubois and Fury go at it, then the winner of that definitely deserves a 3rd shot at Usyk, and either fight will sell if Dubois beats Fury or vice versa.

Fury can prove that he still has what it takes to compete at the elite end of the division, and Dubois gets a monster payday that he deserves after winning another belt. I don't think Fury takes it; he's too focused on the Joshua fight and has one eye on retirement, but I actually think this fight works, and it is a pick em fight at this stage. Fury did not look the same vs Makhmudov, and Wardley was arguably Dubois best win of his career.
