Two fights where both Surace and Chelli were supposed to be warm up fights for Munguia and Morrell but they ended up stopping them instead. Which do you think was the bigger shocking upset that came out of nowhere?

I'd say Munguia because he'd recently gone 12 rounds with Canelo and he'd always shown an above average chin.

So getting flattened by a feather fisted Frenchman was a major shock to me.

Morrell losing was shocking aswell but apart from his spirited effort vs Benavidez he hasn't been that impressive since.

This, also; Morrell was taking a lot of clean left hands throughout the fight, and also got hurt badly in the 9th. The Munguia KO came completely out of nowhere. Sure, Suarce was landing that right hand just like Chelli, but there was no indication that Munguia was one bit bothered by them.

Yep totally agreed and that's the deciding factor for me aswell.

Chelli was coming on in the later rounds and had badly hurt Morrell already.

So you could see Chelli had a chance of pulling off the upset. And it was a nail-biting finish to see if Morrell could get over the line.

The Munguia KO as you rightly said come out of nowhere. And I don't think anyone could ever envision Munguia getting 1 shotted by a fighter with only 5 stoppages.

    Surace KO 19%

    Chelli KO 52%

Just goes to show that no matter how low a fighters KO% everyone still has the power to potentially knock someone's lights out unexpectedly no matter how good the other fighters chins are.

True but getting one-punched iced by a fighter with a KO19% is simply unacceptable and if something, god forbid, like that happened to me I would go into hiding and never show my face in public again

Morrell was looking shaky in his last fight already. Munguia came out of nowhere.

Morrell has just been on the downside at 175. Still a shocking result, but Morell was only really good at 168. It's a Jarrett Hurd type of situation.
