Daniel Dubois would do a demolition job on Joe Frazier ?

...is Frazier just going to stand there and eat shots like all of Dubios's other opponents is he?

Why do you think that though ? styles make fights.

Young is a slippery very durable defensive fighter.

Young was only stopped twice in a 21 year career.

The only guys to stop Young were....

Shavers in their 1st fight who is a monster puncher and that was against a very green Young. He'd only had 10 professional fights and was thrown into the deep end with little experience against a very experienced dangerous puncher.

And his other stoppage loss was to another big puncher in Cooney and that was on cuts when he was past his prime.

So historically Young wasn't the easiest fighter to stop.

So I don't think Foreman not being able to stop a very durable tricky defensive fighter is necessarily a bad thing.

Young was a tough dude, but today he would probably be a LHW. Even Cosell remarked that he was undersized for the 70's HW era.

George Foreman would have knocked Dubois out sooner, than Wardley knocked Dubois down.

I wouldn't go as far to say Light Heavyweight.

Young was averaging 210+ pounds in most of his notable fights.

I'd say more like Cruiserweight sized now.

I think what he achieved as undersized HW is pretty impressive tbh. Great fights as well. People need to be realistic about how he stacks up h2h though.

    lol

Foreman is far more durable than Dubois. Far better at cutting off the ring.

Foreman has a far better left hook, a far better right uppercut and a far better left uppercut.

Dubois can’t hold a candle to Foreman. Not a candle.

Big George Foreman is small George Foreman in this era, and Frazier is tiny.

As Foreman said, you don't have to look for Frazier; he comes right to you. Frazier would be walking head first into the punches of a 250+ lbs PED monster super heavyweight, so he would be destroyed in a few rounds. Dubois has his flaws, but no one saying Frazier would win would have any intuitive confidence when they saw them together before the fight.

A young George Foreman today wouldn't be fighting at 220 lbs. He was a shade under 6'4" and probably would be fighting in the 230-240 lbs range today with less flab. He'd be bigger than Derek Chisora.

Frazier would be small for this era however, as he was in his.

 I certainly wouldn't bet on it in a time machine gambling session.

I'm gonna be honest. That means something incredibly different where I come from. But I'm not sure if it's better or worse.

Foreman wasn't considered "big" because of his weight. He was considered big due to his bone structure and broad built.

Foreman fought in an era where fights could theoretically go 15 rounds, and even though Foreman himself didn't go 15 rounds due to most of his fights ending early, his trainers wanted to keep his weight down.

Foreman came back fighting at 250 lbs as an old man and still had success. He was naturally quite big.

Dubois isn't destroying Frazier. Yes, he has a chance. But unlike Foreman, Dubois does not possess devestating uppercuts with both hands which were Frazier's kryptonite. Dubois is very hittable and unlike Foreman, when he gets clipped with Frazier's left hook, he will go down.
