Yardley throws a very wide right hand. It is not only telegraphed, it is slower than snail mail and you can see it coming for half an hour before it gets there. (And yet he twice dopped DuBois with it, which says something about something be we will let that go for now.) Michael Moorer was a natural right hander. When you fight as a southpaw, the natural counter to a right hand is a right hook. Moorer threw a very tight compact right hook- it was his best punch. The other guy throws an amateurish wide right hand.
Moorer did have a pretty weak chin at heavyweight, but that isn’t a factor you need to worry about here because Fabio Wardley’s right hand is super predictable and not accurate, especially if you have fast feet. I remember saying I would favor Deontay Wilder over Moorer because Wilder was athletic and fast, and I could see Moorer getting clipped once. With Wardley, I can’t see it. Also, Moorer is probably one of the most disrespected heavyweight champions ever. Someone should definitely make a thread about it.
Foreman didn't have fast feet. Moorer stood in the firing line in every one of his fights I've watched.
This is true, but Moorer could use his feet to avoid punches for Wardley in the firing line. Foreman was more accurate and more unpredictable than Wardley, and to be honest, Foreman would have trouble beating Moreer more than 2/10 times, which is probably the same odds I would give Wardley if they were to fight ten times.
