Here’s another oddball series that actually took place that shouldn’t have happened the first time:

Also Luis Ortiz, an active heavyweight in the last year has a win over Bert Cooper who turned pro in the early 80s and fought for the world heavyweight title in 91

 

Azumah Nelson vs. Jeff Fenech in a battle of hall of famers. Not future hall of famers, but boxers who had already been inducted into the hall of fame.

In the early '90s the WWF introduced a bad guy named Ludvig Borga. He was a Finn and he didn't like the United States' lax approach to environmentalism. His catch phrase was "You call this the land of milk and honey. I say down here it stinks funny." He suffered an injury fairly early into his run, so he didn't last even a year there. Anyway, that guy fought and beat Iran Barkley in Barkley's heavyweight days.

 

Archie Moore already had 53 pro fights under his belt the day Cassius Clay was born.

20 years and 170 fights later, Moore would face Clay in a pro ring.
