Rico gets knocked on his ass by a stiff breeze. Unimpressive kickboxers are delivering uncoordinated punches and dropping this dude. I can only imagine the damage a boxing genius like Usyk can deliver.

He has one conventional boxing match against a guy who was 0-5. He hasn't earned this title shot. He's never fought more than 5 rounds.

So WBA approved Usyks title defense but apparently Rico can't even win the title if he beats Usyk...

    https://www.wbaboxing.com/boxing-news/wba-approves-usyk-to-defend-wba-crown-on-may-23?referrer=https://reddit.com

Quite an irrelevant thing to bring up because Usyk is going to destroy this guy with ease but in terms of principles this is complete BS. If Usyk is actually defending his title why wouldn't Rico be eligible for WBA champion status if he somehow pulled it off ?

This is a total contradiction. I'd say this move is devoid of integrity but this entire match up was devoid of integrity the moment it was made

Yeah that's absolutely atrocious if true. What happens to the belt if he hypothetically lost? Does it go down to the next guy in the rankings?

I imagine Murat Gassiev would become champion.

Even when Usyk loses, he wins.

I was thinking the same but I just don't need to hear the crying from the Usyk-derangement-syndrome crowd.

He's gonna be a worse reigning champion than Fury at this rate...

    Deary me.

He'll probably fight once a year and fight the easiest possible option in the top 15 WBA rankings.

Sadly he wants to fight Itauma, who doesn't want to know about a fight with him.

What's that got to do with what I said, which was partially tongue and cheek?

It's a terrific reign, and will be remembered as such.
