    Wlad's swan song in his losing effort against AJ is legendary too. Almost 10 years passed and there were maybe 2 HW title fights better than that one.

    The words "losing effort" are important here. As is your take on there having been only a couple of fights better than that one in almost ten years.

    Truly, a damning indictment of the era.

    The era was very good. A lot of fun contenders, top dogs with personality, some great fights. I think in 10-20 years 2015-24 era will be viewed as one of the golden ones.

    It would be fair to say that the 9-10 years that followed Joshua/Wlad, were better than the 9-10 years that preceded Joshua/Wlad.

    While I wouldn't consider 2015-24 as "golden", it will likely be remembered much more fondly than the prior era.
