A day out and no thread on a Brit boxing forum Won zero rounds against Makhmudov and he's going to get absolutely annihilated tomorrow night. He's going to have to hope Hrgovic goes easy on him. I think the people who actually follow boxing are sick of Allen and fed up with all his lies over the years. Bloke should be 16 stone max and he's pretending he's in good shape just under 18. It's farcical. Hopefully this is the end of this farce.
100% Time for a poll, what is more dead, British boxing or this forum? Neither generate any interest in 2026
Donny’s ground is less than 15 minutes from my house and I still can’t bring myself to go and watch Allen stink the place out then say he didn’t train properly.
Honestly a bit worried for Allen's health here. He's already taken some big punishment in his career. Hrgovic is a very accurate puncher and throws at a decent rate. To top it off he's heavy but not massively concussive as a puncher. Allen is going to take a tremendous amount of shots here imo. Just can't see it going well for him. Hopefully he's getting paid good money.
He was doing an interview yesterday and he said “I’m hard to hit”. Everyone loves him including me but he needs to make his mind up. One minute honest Dave is useless by his own admission and the next he’s a top fighter
I fear for the lad in there. Hrgovic is a level above the likes of a Davey boy Price even, who slapped him around like a red headed step child. This could get very dangerous for him, especially if he has tried to diet and is slightly physically drained. Hrgovic lacks the power to take most HWs out, therefore this could be a really sustained beating. Allen does not have the boxing skill to create any problems for Hrgovic either.
It's going to be a tough watch. Hopefully Allen does not get too seriously injured. Should have gone out on a high and retired after the Fisher win.
If he has done more cardio than usual and is weighing less than usual, having lost it quickly, yes he can be drained.
lol he's lost about a stone and a half since he last boxed and is still well overweight, it's not like he's dehydrated that's laughable
Its happened before to HWs who have done crash diets and lost weight quickly. It maybe laughable to you, but it does happen
It's because I've been in and around gyms and sport for decades and competed in weightlifting for donkeys and a couple of years of powerlifting. Losing 20 odd pounds off a 270lbs stature is **** all, anyone will tell you that who's done it (many average Joe's do a lot more holding down full-time jobs) and he's done this over the course of at least a month. A significant proportion of that will just be excess water weight from all of the sodium from the absolute shite he eats, by cleaning up the diet, and that takes a matter of 48 hours. No offence mate but I can tell you haven't done any of this. Allen's not going to be drained. What a load of absolute guff.
