I agree it’s a pointless fight but I’m surprised Usyk doesn’t want it, he does seem to like fighting the same people over and again

Only if the Saudi´s or Netflix pays for it, and right now this is not guaranteed. The Saudis left golf due to how unprofitable it was, which proves that their pockets are not bottomless. There is a limit to how much they are willing to spend, and they are also willing to cut their losses.

And the Iran war is not helping things either. Next Riyadh season is starting in August, and its going to reveal a lot about their commitment to boxing, and the whole project itself. I, personally, expect the Saudis to start cutting down on their spending across the board.

That's an interesting point. Even without Saudi money it would still sell though wouldn't it?

Its a big fight, but they would not be getting anywhere near what the Saudis have paid them. All of these events have been financial losses for the Saudis, especially if were to believe the "reported" purses: $190 million for the rematch.
The current price for DAZN PPV´s in the US is $69.99, meaning they need to sell at least 2.7 million PPVs to break even, at the US price per PPV. And no, we did not get any reports of them selling anywhere close to this.
Hell, Rick Glaser reported 500k PPV buys across the globe, and even if we 4x his reporting its still not enough to break even.

Also, Usyk has been operating as a free agent as of late. He was in talks with PBC, and also Zuffa. His team is looking for whomever pays the most right now, and we almost got a fight with Wilder. Instead Turki stepped in with his own offer.
So yea, unless Turki or Netflix pays for it, it wont happen. No one else has this kind of money.

I think Usyk is looking for a more lucrative fight and I think his next opponent will be a favorite of Turki Alalshikh. Dubois, however, has no shortage of interesting opponents, although recent news has shown that Wardley has decided to exercise his rematch clause, so Wardley-Dubois II is likely to take place in the second half of 2026. In any case I'm curious to know who Usyk will face after Rico, we'll know soon, and who knows, maybe the Ukrainian will surprise us.

There are rumors Usyk may fight Jon Jones next.

Netflix seems to be. Unfortunately they might be willing to buy a third fight between Usyk and Fury, with Turki slapping Riyadh Season on as a sponsor and making it look like a Saudi card(we will likely see more and more of this).

That's possibly the absolute worst post in the history of the website.

A trilogy fight is only called for when the fighters have split the first two, not after one guy got KO'd twice.

Daniel's dad already said no to an Usyk trilogy. Everyone knows it's pointless and it would mentally derail DDD again; maybe for good this time.

Dubois hasn't won a single clear round against Usyk and has been stopped twice. Chazz Witherspoon did better against Usyk than Dubois did in the rematch.

@rolzone @catchwtboxing @UnleashtheFURY @Easyrhino we all witnessed Usyk was floored by a body shot and he couldn't stand up for 2 minutes. With another ref, it would be counted as a knock out. That ref seemed to be too fond of Usyk, not only in that fight but in other fights as well. Usyk's favorite ref probably.

I will bet cash money that Rico will do better. Mark the post.
