Turyi wants the Kabayel fight. I think it will happen. Usyk wants two things--big money, big event. Turkyi will make it happen.

Yes. I've said as much myself several times. I think Rico is going to surprise a lot of people with his performance. He's working with Peter Fury(who knows him very well as they've worked together going back 10+ years for old Tyson Fury camps) So Rico has sparred top HWs for over a decade, and has a lifetime of striking experience. He's going to bring that kickboxing awkwardness and I believe he will try to replicate the herky jerky Fury style which was used to great effect against an aging Wlad. Usyk will figure it out eventually but it will cause him some issues early on.

I don't believe Fury actually wants it. He has to say that he does, and that he won the first two, and all this rubbish so that he can still sell himself as the best in the world. But you saw that he is already putting his poison pills in it: "I've got to have some kind of fairness..." or however he phrased it.

He wants another tune-up, and then AJ, and AJ will possibly have a rematch. So we are not in imminent danger.

There should be a vote to ban option on people’s profiles where enough votes get you pulled in front of a committee and then a 24 hour poll gets placed where the majority of votes decides whether you will be banned or not.

I don’t even think you would qualify for a vote to ban poll with this, probably just straight to the death penalty.

Yup. I by no means think he'll win but he will do better than Dubois in either right and AJ in the first.

    1) Working with Peter Fury for 14 years. Has sparred Tyson and a number of other very good fighters
    2) A huge man, that apparently does have good, powerful right, even if it does not translate to a KO percentage
    3) The heart, will, experience and expectations of a combat sports champion
    4) Awkward style. A lot of people forget that there is a fine tradition of guys like Troy Dorsey and James Warring coming from kickboxing and doing well because their opponents have some difficulty timing them. Similar to how major league hitters sometime have trouble in exhibitions against softball pitchers. "Different angles," as Rico says.
    5) Kickboxers often have very good chins, and, sometimes, throw a high volume.

    And, finally,

    6) Usyk is almost certainly going to revert back to his slow start style and give Rico the opportunity to win rounds. It isn't going easy on him, it's how he used to fight, against Hunter, Bellew, Chisora, etc

Turki recently said he wants both an Usyk-Kabayel and an Usyk-Benavidez fight in 2027. We'll see what happens, I don't have much faith in Usyk-Benavidez, but I hope to see Usyk-Kabayel. Let's wait for the Rico fight, then we'll see how things go, there's not much time left now.

Rico gets put over by a stiff breeze. Dude gets dropped in all his fights. Don't even have to hit him on the chin. Badr put him down with a neck shot of all things.

I do agree that Usyk is going to carry this guy. No reason for him to go destroyer mode like he did for Diglett. He'll out-box Rico for the first half and then maybe turn up the heat to get the ref to wave it off on the back half.

For whatever reason they have been trying to make some variation of this forever, with a guy coming up. Ward...Canelo...Beterbiev....Bivol...now Benevidez. What in the world is the point of seeing Usyk trounce someone of a lower weight?

Usyk even at 50 yrs old will knockout Dubois. He just has his number.

Usyk has to fight Kabayel next or he is stripped,it comes down to does he fight Kabayel after Rico like ordered or does he fight somebody else and get stripped . We are all waiting to see what Usyk decides to do .

I will be very dissapointed if he defends against anyone but Kabayel after Verhoeven. Then maybe Itauma, if he manages to get one or two more good wins under his belt, and then retire.

The only other interesting would be Parker, if he manages to bounce back with a win over someone decent. But even that would be more because Parker has earned it. Don't see him as any threat to Usyk.

If Dubois had Wardley's heart he could beat Usyk....But he doesn't have that heart.

Twice Dubois has been in the ring with Usyk, twice he realised the depths he would need to go to in order to win and twice Dubois didn't want to delve to those depths.

Dubois reaction to getting put on his backside in round 1, to look straight at his corner unassured of himself, should tell you that Dubois is no different a fighter to the one Usyk stopped twice. He's too mentally weak for Usyk, I'd argue he's even more mentally weak than Joshua, he doesn't beat the version of AJ which beat Klitschko, before losing twice to Usyk.
