Why do people who are calling for fairness always seem to have Itauma's name in their mouths. He has beaten a deteriorated, unranked Whyte, and a nothing Franklin.

Maybe that will change, but right now, him getting a shot would be a travesty,

That's why I wrote "if he manages to get one or two more good wins under his belt".

I hope so, it would at least make the fight worth the watch afterwards. I just can't see this being remotely competitive because Usyk's pretty damn awkward himself.
Fury will want the money and the fight in the UK so he can try and cook the books with Frank and Foster. He already has those losses and excuses, it's not much of a stretch to see him do it a third time.

Because apart from a torch passing-like event to Itauma (IF he gets a good run up until then, so don't start!) I don't see who else would generate the kind of money that would interest Usyk.

Hrgovic and then Parker would be a really good sequence for Itauma. If he beats them he's no doubt a legit challenger.

In the mean time Usyk should take on Kabayel. In this scenario I wouldn't even mind him taking a pay day against Benavidez between Kabayel and Itauma. Then retire. That would be perfect.

With Parker still tied up with the coke scandal I'd prefer to see Itauma fight Hrgovic, then Dubios for the title before getting a well earned shot at Usyk. This should allow Usyk time to take on Kabayel too.

Usyk generally has feelings of amity toward his past opponents, but I feel the only two he ever really disliked are Huck and Dubois. From Usyk's POV I understand why, it was a pretty pathetic position for Dubois to take that he was the rightful winner of the first fight, just because he managed to punch Usyk in the **** whilst being comprehensively outclassed and ultimately quitting.

Usyk can easily vacate the WBC world title (he'd still hold the WBA and IBF titles) and fight someone else. The Ukrainian champion is understandably looking for the most lucrative fight. Let's wait and see what happens.

But Turkyi is throwing the money at him for this fight, so I think this is going to be most lucrative.

As I was saying Turki has expressed interest in this matchup, so we just have to wait. I've been saying for a while that an Usyk-Kabayel matchup would be interesting and that the German definitely deserves a title shot. We'll soon have concrete news and move beyond the rumors.

Why can't Dubious just rematch AJ. What's the hold up on that big fight?
