Knowing how prone to cuts Hrgovic is, it was probably the towel in his corner, wiping his face at the end of the 1st.

 

Dave's taken enough over the years.

 

Sad to see really but I don't know what I expected, this was probably the most logical outcome. Yes durability is Allen's strongest asset and he could have survived much longer, but there is little point in that when the fight had devolved into target practice for Hrgovic. Bring on Itauma-Hrgovic if that is next, as this fight exemplified there is levels to the game, and Itauma may find that out too.

 

It's not easy but it wasn't entertaining either. I would've felt short changed if I was there tonight.

Dave could make good money commentating now. He should hang them up.

fight makes great sense for both fighters. I'd love to see it.
