Anyone Give Bruno A Chance Against Shavers??

He definitely has a chance, neither one had a great gas tank or chin. This is probably a 50/50 fight.

 

Yes. I can see Frank keeping Earnie honest for first half of fight with that big, booming jab and stopping him in the second half. Similar power but Frank had a better gas tank...and better fundamentals...

 

A chance? I mean, I pick him like 60/40.

 

It's a 50/50 fight, why on earth would Shavers be a big favorite ? He got stopped by Quarry in a round

 

If he stays behind the jab and doesn't gas (at least as hard as Shavers would) he could win.

A lot of people overestimate Shavers because he was one of Holmes' best opponents, but he had little else besides him mega-punch.

 

I reckon Frank should be favoured here. I know he was kind of stiff and had an iffy gas tank and an iffy chin when his gas tank was empty ... but until that point I think he'd be the one doing most of the damage.

 

That's one way to see it. Another way to see it is that Bruno expends his nervous energy on Shaver's face and ends it before Shavers does ...

 

I favor Bruno and for all the excellent reasons that have been given, but I can still see Bruno standing in front of Earnie with his head on a line , stiff and upright and during a lapse Shavers decapitates Frank.. Wouldn't bet on this fight at all,,,,,

 

Shavers although a huge puncher was easily outboxed and had poor stamina. Shavers could easily lose to Bruno. I’d say it’s a 50/50 bout.

 

Difficult choice,if my life depended on it i think at sometime Earnie would connect on Franks chin and it would be all over

 

This is an extremely open bout. Earnie i think is willing to lay more on the line in an effort to utilize his big weapon. He's take more risks, show more aggression. Bruno is the better boxer tho quite stiff. Tough match. I'll make Earnie the 55-45 fave lol.

 

Yes I give Bruno a chance against Shavers and probably a reasonable one. But Bruno was hurt by the overhand rights of Tim Witherspoon and Shavers threw similar kinds of right hands . Frank would best get Earnie out of there before he gets hit by some of those.
