You need to rewatch this one bud, just round 3 and 5. The striking numbers aren’t even close.

Talking about roughly 10 strikes difference mate. Not like it’s some crazy number.

123 strikes landed of which 115 were Jabs across 5 rounds whilst retreating, if that’s what’s winning fights these days then damn. Never on my card is someone being credited for that.

If it was just all Strickland throwing jabs and Chimaev was doing nothing then by all means it’s gotta go to Sean, but he was getting pressured and beat up a lot from 3 onwards, I’d go as far as he was genuinely surviving seeing the rounds through whilst flicking a jab.

Watch it again without the initial live shock of Chimaev not just wrestling the balls off Sean and I’d be shocked if you gave Sean 2 rounds left alone 3 to win it

But it doesn’t matter if it’s a jab, it’s about causing damage. If you rewatch the fight and count the strikes landed, Strickland outlands significantly more. Round 3 and 5 by over 30 strikes along with the biggest strikes in both rounds and causing a lot more accumulative damage.

I don’t want to see someone winning fights just for moving forward, and throwing in a few body and leg kicks while they’re face gets hard as a punching bag.

It’s EVEN clearer upon rewatching that Strickland CLEARLY won 3 and 5 even though they where SOMEWHAT competitive.

It’s also not hard to see that Khamzat knows he lost from his body language after the fight and the fact his team are coming up with excuses rather than saying he was robbed

Yes it’s about causing damage, I’m sorry but 123 strikes 115 of which are jabs over 5 rounds is not damage, it’s not a fight ending shot, You’re saying he landed the biggest strikes, it was a jab mate, a defensive jab at that.
The aggressor was Chimaev, the more damaging shots were Chimaev.

If that’s how you score your fights mate that’s fine, not for me, simple as that, and to point out again there’s no bias, I’m glad Strickland won cause Chimaev cheated the scales, but he didn’t win in my eyes and plenty of others.

You can’t back up and flick a jab for 15 minutes and get the rounds, especially when your opponent is also landing and landing more significantly albeit not as frequent as your pawing jab.

your giving the round to Strickland for 9 extra jabs in the 5th??? Yet he got pressured the whole round and was taking way more damaging blows… wild bro.

God what an awful card for me.

I am going to post the next card prediction now so i don't forget. If the card changes, i will edit my post before the actual card begins.

No I actually watched the fight, then I watched it again and saw Strickland land 70+ strikes in round 3 and 5, not what the UFC’s stats were.

Thats what he have a disagreement on this
