I assume that we are taking the best possible version of Fury for this imaginary H2H, and not the more common and often seen unmotivated, lazy slob version?

Fury wasn't out of shape or lazy vs Wallin.

He weighed 254 pounds which is 8 pounds less than what he weighed vs Usyk the 1st time so he was in good shape vs Wallin.

He simply struggled alot vs Wallin due to stylistic issues.

Fury was also in good shape vs Cunningham and again struggled against a Cruiserweight sized Heavyweight.

This mythical H2H Fury gets thrown around alot and I really don't know why.

Fury fought one of the dullest Heavyweight title world fights in history vs an old Wladimir where neither man even managed to land 90 punches over 12 rounds.

Yeah Fury dominated Wilder in 1 fight but was dropped 4 times in the other 2 fights.

Even Parker who's not an upper echelon Heavyweight managed to beat Wilder 12-0.

Fury's other notable wins would be a shopworn Whyte who already got sent to shadow realm by a shot 40 year old Povetkin.

And a fringe contender in Chisora with 14 losses.

This mythical H2H Fury doesn't exist he was talented yes but had plenty of flaws and then some.

Fury never had an extended period in his career where he was convincing or dominant against top rated Heavyweights.

If Fury had faced the midgets and ant-men that Sonny had, there would be a golden statue of him in every caravan park in britain...

People are still sour that their idol Wilder was trampled

Fury called Usyk a blown up Middleweight midget how did that work out for him ?

Who the hell as Wilder as their idol ? The only one who obsesses over Wilder on this forum is Dubbelchin.

Ain't no one having that windmiller as their idol my guy.

I think Fury wins easier than people think. Liston would be fighting someone who is faster than him while also being bigger, stronger, and taller, with a longer reach. Liston always struggled against fighters with good movement, and Fury has some pretty solid movement for a man his size. Liston would also struggle to get his jab going against someone taller than him with a larger reach. I really think people underestimate how much trouble Fury's style would cause, and overrate Liston here, tbh.

Usyk would have been one of the biggest, if not the biggest, guy that Liston ever fought. Fury would have eaten the 190lb dudes Liston used to fight for lunch.

I knew Wilder would lose all his fans after he got properly rogered for the first time.

Fury didn't think so as i said he called Usyk a blown up Middleweight midget and then got humbled.

Good for you not sure what Wilder fans you're talking about though.

Only Dubbelchin thinks Wilder is the greatest thing since sliced bread on this forum.

He would have called Liston's opponents welterweights.

All of Wilder's fans abandoned him except for one stalwart.

But Fury lost to what he deemed a blown up Middleweight.

According to you which I'll take with a grain of salt.

Since half of your posts you troll anyway as you're doing now.

I'm just playing your game of being sarcastic since you made it apparent 4 posts ago you're no longer interested in a proper conversation.

The proper conversation is that Fury could be world class when he bothered to whip himself into shape, and underwhelming most of the time. The facts are that Liston looked scary when fighting little men and less so when fighting dudes his own size or bigger. The crux of the argument is that nobody wants to address this elephant in the room and instead want to pretend Marty Marshall and Fury are about the same size because they are nominally in the same division. Fury is more mobile, boxes better than, and has a massive size advantage over Liston. If you want to argue Liston is P4P better, I will agree to that.

Now this is a better response respect for that.

I've never said Liston is necessarily a big favourite over Fury.

Of course Fury has a troubling style for Liston due to his size and skills.

But you also have to take into account Fury has struggled vs smaller Heavyweights aswell.

And Fury's form is so erratic as I said he never really had a period in his career where he was convincing fight after after against notable opponents.

Let's just say this to agree to disagree I wouldn't say either man is a big favourite over each other.

For me it's debatable enough to argue in favour of both fighters and we'll leave it there.

I think it is a very interesting discussion because for me, Fury did not beat people because he was big, he beat them because he was GOOD. On his night he was a handful. Very good engine, good from distance and inside, a very underrated and underappreciated ability to gauge distance and time; his spatial awareness was very good, quick hands, decent power when he sat down on his punches, great head moment, feints, punch variation...it's just I think the best Liston is...better. Usyk did not beat Fury because Fury struggles with smaller fighters. He beat him because he was better. And I believe Charles would twice ouf three times as I outlined earlier.

Some really good points made either way here, interesting. Px

With each at his best Liston can’t beat Fury. Tyson F was too tall heavy and skilled. Listons power would be nullified by those factors. Afraid Fury would dominate the fight and stop him. Might not even be cause for a rematch never mind a trilogy.
