Looks like things are aligning so they have Canelo as their warm-up act in Saudi the same evening, wonder if it'll be a long Netflix special?

Woouldnt mind it being on netflix.... Garcia should hammer Benn but he got beaten by Rolly so that kind makes things a bit less certain. But Benn had his struggled against a guy on one leg, arguably got dropped, landed lots but never really looked close to putting Regis away and looked lost after the first 4 before evenually trying a little bit more body work later in the fight.

Benn isn't as fast as Garcia, doesn't hit as hard and hasn't beaten anyone near the quality of Luke Campbell or Duarte - should be a routine win for Garcia.

 

It's times like these you wish there was a time machine where Benedict could be fed to a Felix Trinidad or Thomas Hearns, guys who'd be guaranteed to give the cheating Nepo the pasting and KO loss he deserves. Garcia isn't the lethal punching powerhouse we all want let loose on the guy.

I think Garcia is going to knock him spark out to be fair.

 

This promises to be included in episodes of cherry picks gone wrong for Benn.

Yes Ryan Garcia has certain 'lifestyle issues' which is presumably why team Benn took the fight. However he is still only 27 and only needs to be at 70% fitness to absolutely batter Benn.

Lets hope this gets made, as Benn needs a bit of humbling.

 

Apparently Garcia has beaten his issues and done a year off the booze. If he turns up at 70% he leathers Benn.

It sounds like Benn has been forced to step up if he wants the money he's after, easy street is over and it's time for big school. Garcia will be well up for this and once he drops Benn it will play out exactly how we all want it to. This is the reward for having to watch ten years of this Conor circus play out, first beating guys with day jobs at a days to a few days notice when he's had a full camp, then the whole Peynaud thing and then of course the eggs. Never forget how irritating this has been, it will make it all that bit sweeter.

I think you're right, this isn't Matchroom or PBC where records will be protected - Zuffa said from day one their fighters would be in meaningful contests and (if they're actually the ones paying Benn) then this is proof.

I think this is also what happens when boxers who would genuinely fight anyone, lose their promoter's protection.

 

If Benn makes this a war he's got half a chance, if Garcia doesn't get drawn in he will win every round

This is a great fight for zuffa though, probably the biggest fight they can make both fighters are cross overs and household names
