Who is the greatest female boxer of all time?
Are there any female boxing matches that are worth watching?

    Katie Taylor

As for female boxing fights that are worth watching ?

Katie Taylor's first two fights vs Amanda Serrano are classics.

Christy Martin vs Deirdre Gogerty was a war.

    Hi Guys.
I wouldnt know, have never watched 2 women boxing, wholly disapprove, I sometimes struggle with watching two men try to beat one another into unconsciousness, let alone females , sorry not for me.

The thin talent pool and lack of established "order" make ranking more difficult.

If you look at some of the divisions on boxrec, there are so few active fighters per division that reference points become more challenging. Although the eye test does impact how we view fighters, a lot of ranking is based on their opponents, and who their opponents beat, and so on.

For men's boxing we often ask ourselves how many world titlists and top 10 contenders they beat, and those metrics are important because winning a world title (even in the fragmented era) and beating people who are recognised as top 10 out of thousands globally - these things mean something. Beating a top 10 contender in women's boxing doesn't necessarily mean anything; that isn't itself a knock on women's boxing, but more a reflection on having such a limited pool of fighters.

There's more to ranking fighters than boxrecing, but when you go through female fighters to check records you often reach dead ends where you're struggling to identify which wins actually mean something.

Objectively, Shields is the greatest of all time, due to her dominance over a range of divisions. I suppose you could argue Taylor or Serrano have deeper records, but it's hard to argue at this point with a flawless record.

Rijker had great ability, but it's hard to pinpoint any career-defining wins. Likewise, Ali and Wolfe didn't beat enough quality opposition, during an era where the pool was even shallower than it is now.

Lucia Rijker, if I spelled that correctly. She had a lot of skill but nobody to test it against.

Rijker-Martin was the much ballyhooed SuperFight that never was for some reason.

I had the pleasure of watching her train as well as getting to talk with her after her training/shower.

Very attractive woman in my opinion.

She was brought up in the combat arts and was a true warrior.

Yes, she got dropped hard by some guy.

I'd take (back then) Rijker over most chicks to this day.

I was gonna throw Vonda Ward out there, but I guess Ann Wolfe would be the answer to that.
