Knew this fight wasn’t online until recently, always wondered how it looked. Turns out it’s one of the most brutal 1 punch knockouts I’ve ever seen.

That hook was thrown with perfection.
But notice where Frazier started the punch, and where he was after it landed.
And what extra damage he could've done if he choose too!!!
Especially since the ref was slow in his response to the gravity of the situation....

Ramos? Don't remember too well but it feels like it was a KO in some hazy memory.

    EDIT: No, it wasn't.

If you recall his bout with Joe Bugner, when he dropped Bug in the 10th, he held back there too as Bug was slowly going down. A good side to Joe.

    I'm wrong too.lol Jones wasn't ranked,and hadn't been for over a year.
Frazier ko'd 8 men, the most prominent were,Jones, and Bob Foster.

What’s also interesting is how small they look. Frazier looks like a light heavy. Great KO, thanks for posting.

Joe had a vicious killer instinct but he never took liberties. Joe was all class in my book

Some posters believe the rudimentary skilled Dontay Wilder
could actually beat prime Joe Frazier...

Brutal knockout but Jones was pretty much used up by that point. He was coming off relatively non-competitive decision losses to Ernie Terrell and Thad Spencer after being fed five tomato cans to try to right the ship after being clobbered by George Chuvalo.

Sonny's was likely harder punch for punch but nobody could throw lefts like Frazier could. Non stop, like a machine, under and over, over and under. He carried his power the distance as we know.

Had it not been for Ali's legendary recovery ability i think Frazier's power would he more revered. Ali was sent to what he called the " green room" by Frazier several times in all their fights.
Even the 2nd bout which was the mildest of the 3 Ali acknowledged "Joe had me out on my feet a couple of times".
Ali just wasn't normal in his ability to get through those moments.
