Holyfield for me but I think they're similar power wise.

Holyfield has had more impressive feats with stoppages and single punch power IMO.

Stopped Douglas with 1 counter right hand.

First fighter to drop Mercer, Bowe, who had very good chins.

Dropped and stopped a good version of Tyson.

Holyfield's punches looked snappier to me.

Not sure that neccersaily means he punches harder but still.

No major disagreements but Tyson slipped for the KD. But Holyfield had him badly hurt in R10 before the stoppage.

I would say overall Holyfield is. He was much more likely to set his feet and let rip.

However: Usyk showed that his big booming overhand left hook has plenty of power behind it when he gets evil intentions. Dubois for instance got devastated by "Ivan" when Usyk put his mind to it.

    This left was power packed

If Holyfield hit Fury as many times as Usyk (during Fury's knockdown)...

Holyfield and Usyk may not have different levels of raw power, enough to matter to distinguish them, but Holyfield's punching mechanics led to a far sharper shot with more stopping power and Holyfield threw home run attempts in combination. So, as a puncher, I'm going with Holyfield. Usyk backs off of it more and I don't like it. Holyfield isn't a true puncher at heavyweight but in a way he's more mechanically like Joe Louis, whereas Usyk is closer to Joe Calzaghe in the way he chooses to throw. It's part of how he paces himself, I think, but I've noticed both Usyk and Lomachenko being warned in the corner to not throw so hard. Not a fan of that approach. I'm using Calzaghe to illustrate but it's nowhere near that slappy quality at its worst; I'm not trying to make an unfair exaggeration.

Generally I’d say Holy, with the * being that Usyks looping left hand may be the hardest punch either of them throw.

Holy. Not by a massive margin. But he does hit slightly harder and puts more powerful combinations together.

    Without PED testing… Evan Fields

    With PED testing… Usyk ;)

That Ivan is a serious shot!

Ivan is a good shot but it hasn’t ko’d anyone cold. Dubois could have beat the count. He was just mentally beaten

Quality post, this is exactly as I see it.

P.s. the options to manipulate the screen orientation in DM's are too limited to send you a meaningful pic of prime Johhny Nelson's rod of justice. Shame, it's equally a thing of beauty and terror.

Holyfield but its not its not like a complete blowout. Both have good power, especially as smaller Heavys but I wouldn't say either is like this insane puncher.
