What tactic should Hrgovic use to have a chance of beating Itauma?

Endure the first 4 rounds, do not get involved in any kind of exchange, hope that Itauma will get tired or maybe break down psychologically, also Hrgovic must not let his Stamina betray him.

 

Sadly Hrgovic’s too slow, too hitable and his skin too susceptible to opening up. You couldn’t hand pick a better ‘breakthrough’ opponent for Moses.

 

Be a much better fighter than he actually is.

 

Pray that Itauma is packing a David Price level glass jaw and that Itauma somehow slows down enough over the rounds that he can land a right hand. Except Hrgovic is pillow fisted because he doesn't turn into his shots, so even then it's probably a no go.

 

He should get Usyk to step in for him.

Do what he does best.

Use his one two, especially his jab. And don’t fall for Itauma’s feints.

My main concern is that Hrgovic will be badly cut and they’ll stop it.

 

Keep it long and box him off.

Ituama's main weapon is speed but let's see how he handles a decent operator.

Hurgo has to draw him on and counter, whether he has the speed of foot to achieve that.

Hurgovic turns soft when things get tough very negative body language...

 

Throw straight, short punches and he should take wild ass, no defense, Itauma's head off.

 

Of course, he needs to survive without getting knocked out while doing that.

Hrgovic starts well, so he should be able to survive an early onslaught with his solid chin. If Itauma is packing glass, Hrgovic can win. If not, assuming Moses is as good as advised and has decent stamina, he should be able to win.

The body shots he was digging into Allen… throw more of those! Those were nasty and Itauma has not been takin into the later rounds.

 

Make it rough. Shove him off balance, pull his head down... few Hopkins style elbows, hip punches or forearms. Headbutt him like Dubois did to him.

 

You think Frank Warren's hand picked ref is gonna allow that to happen? If Hrgovic gets up to any funny business, including his typical rabbit punching, he's gonna get read the riot act.
