Kabayel is getting massively overrated, he’s clumsy and reckless. I would be surprised if usyk doesn’t knock him out inside 4 rounds

I agree. His workrate was relentless but I'm not sure from what I saw there he has the power to keep a big puncher like Joshua in check.

He was getting robbed on the cards anyway, the knockdown in the 11th put Usyk ahead on 2 cards by 2 so Rico needed a KO in the 12th which wasn't going to happen.

Is a 40+ year old Zhang that many levels below 40+ year old Usyk, really? Cuz 39 year old Usyk looked a lot more like Joe Joyce than anyone else tonight.

There is also the element of unexpected. The crossover guys have decades of information and footage to work off of, while the boxers have fairly little.
I bet Fury had no idea that Ngannou would be that good in the clinch, for example.

Could either or. Hard to say till we watch his next fight. Kiev is currently getting bombed which probably didn't help.

Rico absolutely fought with pressure fighting tonight, what are you on about? Kabayel is not stationary either.

What worked for Rico works for Kabayel too - constant pressure, getting in close and continuous movement.

Nope, time for Usyk to fight his mandatories or get stripped of the belts

Peter Fury just said that Verhoeven probably wouldn’t have made it through the 12th because he was gone!

You've just made a sweeping generalization about all Soviet boxers based off the performance of a well past prime 39 y/o who came in at a career highest weight, a way too heavy 233lbs, and looked slow and sluggish all night when in his prime he right weight was so much faster of both hand and foot, and was so much shaper and more agile than this old heavy version was. You don't think that makes a huge difference?

Had that even been the Usyk of a year or two ago he would've knocked Rico out in 3-4 rounds, let alone a prime version of him. Do you doubt that?

Usyk fought Chisora in a tiny ring and it was his first real fight at HW as a pro and Chisora causes pretty much everyone big problems regardless of nationality.

Usyk is 38, and yes, there's a massive difference between the two.

It's not so much the British fighters, it's British referees
