Usyk had one job to do: beat a boxing novice to a pulp. Instead, he struggled against a guy with one professional boxing fight. I’m 99% sure that Aj would beat Verhoeven to a pulp. He’s no better than that African MMA guy. Usyk is only slowing the division down at this point, and now all I want to see is him get beaten badly by Kabayel.

Also, there was a thread about Usyk vs Evander Holyfield. I think Holyfield would kill him on the inside. At 46, Holyfield was robbed of becoming a five-time heavyweight champion, while at 40, Usyk was saved by the referee from losing a points decision (if the scorecards were right) to a 1–0 boxer.

 

Before all the snarky comments started appearing, Bert Cooper would smoke Verhoeven.

Verhoeven would be able to survive. Yeah, maybe he would get points deducted for spitting out his mouthguard, but in an ideal world, he would win a points decision.

That's funny. You can box for 10-15+ years, spar with multiple contenders/champions over most of that period, be the best in the world in a closely related punching sport, and still be a "boxing novice".

He wasn’t stopped, the referee stopped it. 60 seconds to get back and push for one last round of his life for a pro kick boxer like Rico could have been life changing. But yes it’s basically a robbery. The cards proved that even more.
